Yamaha Top Case City lock issue

I have the 39l version & have just bought the 50l version on eBay.

It was advertised as having no lock & thought it wouldn't be a problem to get one.  However, the new lock ends in 2 screws to attach a metal T piece which locates in a rectangular slot in the top case to lock it.  My Yamaha dealer says this part isn't available as it comes with the top case. Photos of the part I need attached.

Yamaha part no. 52s-21780-09-00 is what I need & their website shows the lock barrel with the T piece.  My dealer has one in stock but there's no T piece.

I've seen plenty of top cases with no lock advertised for sale so I'm sure I'm not the first to have this problem.  Where can I get this part please?

That link doesn't show the T part either. I am in the same exact situation! Why won't they sell this part?

You are not the first........ or the second or the third..... same issue on the FJR site.  Yammy didn't put the piece with the top box, or if you bought used, the previous guy kept it with the lock..... I seem to remember somebody made a drawing of the part...... maybe somebody with one can also do that??
