I'm retired, 75yrs old last week, ride almost every day.

I put 100,000 miles on my 2015 FJ-09 all stock except windshield.

Oil & Filter every 4,000 miles ,chain & sprockets about every 20,000 +/- CCT replaced twice then went with manual , Fuel pump was weak but never quit , replaced at about 53,000 also clutch cable just to be safe no problem , valves checked twice , slight adjustments. Excellent dealer service from K&N YAMAHA Tulsa Ok. Never stranded all original except V Stream windshield.

Bought new April 2015 , hit 79000 7-26-17 . One Iron Butt ride Tulsa to Santa Rosa NM. I had my FJ in for a oil change at 44,000 miles ( I ride every day) I ask them to check the CCT just for peace of mind. They said it looked good but they would have the new type in Dec. and replace the original one NO CHARGE. Dealer replaced CCT three times then installed APE CCT NO CHARGE .

Same here. Speedometer is accurate, you just have to get used to it. I average in the low to mid 50s, a strong head or tail wind can change it as much as 10mpg+-.
