  1. No I did the recall flash first and then sent my ecu off to him and he could not do the performance flash . Something to do with the recall flash changing and so he didn’t have the new software for it . So either we waited for them to release the new program , and he send back my ecu to me , or the other option was to send it off to woolich . They drill into the ecu and somehow get the code , and then they fill the hole back in and send the ecu back . And after that I assume he’ll have the new software program or code for future customers . I’m not too familiar with that kind of stuff I just know what David told me . So now I’m just waiting for it to come back . I’ll post an update once I get everything installed and take a ride on it .
  2. I have a 21 t9 gt. I installed a akropovic full exhaust, and purchased a dna stage 2 lid while getting my ecu flashed by vcyclenut . I also am going down one tooth on the front sprocket . My bike will be apart for another week at least while I wait for my ecu to return , but I can’t wait to rip it once the mods are all installed ! I will post some pictures once it’s done ! I also installed a Corbin seat last month, and I highly recommend this for anyone with back problems. Absolutely love my seat . Now I Just want some more torque out of the bike . I know some people will say well why didn’t you just go for the mt09 if you wanted the torque ; but I needed comfort first priority becusze I recently had two spine fusions . And the tracer is the most comfortable bike in my budget I’ve found to date .
  3. Hey guys , I bought my bike in June of this year , and the previous owner never did the recalls so I brought mine in and got it done . Before I had the chance my bike died out on me doing 90 down the highway . Totally freaked me out it was nighttime , and once I got pulled over my bike was stuck in 3 gear on the display; although I could feel it shifting and was able to roll it in neutral. Finally after a few minutes it started right up and was fine . After that I got it right in to the dealer . I rode it for about a month and thought it ran like crap with my akropovic exhaust system . So,now my ecu is getting flashed by vcyclenut , and I am installing a dna stage 2 lid compliments of vcyclenut . but somehow doing the recall changed the flash software that he had . so my ecu is getting sent out to woolich ; so that he can have the software in house from now on if I’m not mistaken. I think the recall changed something to do with the original program . So hopefully all goes well and I’ll have my mods in the mail soon ! and thankfully for this forum I was able to learn about vcyclenut . He’s Someone who actually has real time knowledge and experience on the mt09 motor and knows what tweaks are best for our machines . I also am going down one tooth on the front sprocket because I want my bike to have more torque and wheelie on command instead of having that flat spot before shooting off like a rocket . but anyhow I thought you guys would like to know the issues I’m having with a flash after that recall . hopefully my ecu getting sent off to woollich will fix this issue for future customers . ride safe guys ! danny-
  4. Okay I’ve definitely considered the Ducati . But if your looking for hard luggage for the mt-10 shad USA has a really good selection! They sell the cases with hardware as one set up, and if you mention anything about Givi they’ll offer you a15 percent off promo code to get you to shop with them. I’m most concerned with finding something comfortable for my back. I recently had 2 spine surgeries and that’s why I chose the tracer. It’s set up in a way that I could tolerate much longer rides then on other bikes I tried. So I gotta stay with that style of rider triangle if possible. So yeah multistrada seems like a good choice . Thanks for your advice brother
  5. Hey guys I’m thinking of selling my 2021 Yamaha tracer 9 gt . It’s got 5,990 miles on it . It’s a hell of a bike and I’ve dumped 3k into it after owning for a few months , but I’m just left wanting something more . I’m gonna seek out an mt-10 and outfit it with hard cases and a wind screen and get another Corbin seat (best thing I’ve ever bought ) my Corbin seat made my bike a Cadillac ! I’ll attach some photos and please let me know if your in the area and know anyone wanting a beautifully maintained machine that’s already loaded with everything you’d wanna do to it. it’s got a full akropovic exhaust system (1200$) Corbin saddle (750$) pazzo levers 200$ puig touring screen with clip on visor 240$ woodcraft frame sliders and axel sliders 200$ Ecu flash by bousch racing NJ 300$ and these were all done within the last 2 months so it’s all fresh very low miles on all the upgrades . I paid 12500 for the bike and added all these accessories. I’m asking for 13k please let me know if your interested in taking a look . I got my heart set on an mt 10 new gen so if anyone had something there wanting to talk about making some kind of deal I’m open to talking about it . thanks guys !
  6. Smokamoto what year is your bike ? Your gauges look similar to mine on the newer split screen . I cannot get my bike to lift up unless I am really trying hard in 1 gear . I’m wondering if it’s becusze the newer models have that 2 inch extra wheel base making it harder to lift . or… is my bike really out of tune due to the new exhaust I put on ? im waiting for the ecu to get reflashed next week . so does your newer model come ip on its own when your hammering it ? Or do you gotta clutch up to pick it up ? thanks
  7. How do I change the setting ? Is it the tc setting ? The one of three setting that you can scroll through on the left side ? Or is it something totally differsnf ?
  8. Ride365 Are you doing clutch up to get it up ? What gear and starting speed is best to bring it up ? Or if your doing power wheelie , also what gear and starting speed are you bringing it up in ? Any tips is appreciated tjanks
  9. Yeah like I said . I don’t know if it’s the ecu needing the reflash? But it just has a flat spot when I crack the throttle and then accelerates but does not lift the tire up at all ! Only in first gear can I get it to power wheelie . I would like someone else with a 21 to comment to see if there having the same issues and if there were changes done to the 21 model that’s preventing it from being as torquey and wheelie prone . maybe lift control is still engaging ?? All I have learned is to hold the button for a couple of seconds on the traction control setting and it shuts it off. I thought that also shut off the wheelie control . But maybe I’m wrong and that’s part of the problem? I’ll update when I get my ecu done and let you guys know if that solved the issue . I have an app on sep 8 to get it in . really hoping this fixes my issue . And again I’ve rode an older model fj09 and it was a hooligan ! It made me fall in love with Yamaha . And I also needed a comfortable bike becusze of my spine surgeries . So I thought it was the perfect machine ! bit im just not happy with my newer models lack of fast response in the throttle . My 900cc triple should be popping up on me on accident! Never mind the fact that im trying like hell . But im gonna get out there and try a few new tricks you guys have shared with me and go from there . Thanks for the reply’s . This community is amazing
  10. Bwringer thanks brother . Yeah I’ve Learned that the fj09 is completely a different beast . And i don’t understand becusze my motor is 50cc bigger ! but the Swingarm must make a huge difference because I rode my buddy’s older model and it was what made me decided to buy a tracer . And I’ve been thinking something’s wrong with mine becusze of the difference with the wheelie capability’s. It’s good to learn there’s been changes made to the length of the bike and that’s contributing to it being much less wheelie prone . But it’s very sad for me . I had an opportunity to buy an fj09 with low miles for half the price of my bike . But I went with a new one instead becusze of the updates and what I thought was an upgrade ! but there like two differsnf bikes now . all I can hope for is a big difference once my ecu is flashed and maybe I can do a stage 2 dna filter to get some more torque as well . And maybe I can change out the rear sprocket to a couple teeth extra . Like 16 front and change the 45 rear to 47 . I’m determined to figure it out and get this bad boy to act like the hooligan your referring to ! and for anyone else following along yes I have shit off the tc and I’m in driving mode 1 so it’s just the bike itself needs some extra tuning . thanks again !
  11. Thank you for the reply’s . No I have not really been riding it to the redline , however the only gear I can get it to come up is 1st I have to be going slow and crack the throttle twice ; once quick and let off and then crack it and she’ll stand up but it really takes a lot and I was hoping yo be able to bring it up say second gear doing 20-30 mph but it just doesn’t have the power it seems . There’s a huge flat spot and then it accelerates like crazy after a couple seconds . now I am waiting to get my ecu flashed . I think it may have lost some power by putting the aftermarket exhaust on. The air fuel ratio is off it seems . Maybe this is affecting my torque more then I think ? Ill try to redline it a little more , but got any advice on how l can best get it up and ride out a good one ? Should I be doing clutch up ? Or just a certain way to power wheelie ? thanks guys ! ride safe
  12. Hey guys , I have had my 2021 tracer for about 3 months now , and I am just wanting a little more fun out of it . I know it’s not made to wheelie and if I wanted that I should have gotten an mt09 or 10 ; however I have severe spine issues and I needed comfort as first priority. Hence the tracer . I’ve got a Corbin seat and bar risers and it’s like a Cadillac man . I also just did an akropovic full system . And I’m waiting for my ecu app to get flashed . However I was hoping to get a little more torque out of it and hopefully enough to power wheelie and just have some fun without loosing a lot of top end . Has anyone changed thete front sprocket down one tooth ? And what are the results ? Do I also need a whole new set up with chain and rear sprocket if I was to do this ? Or can I get away with just changing the front . As always.. thank you guys for your knowlage and time with advice . Danny
  13. Thanks guys ! I ordered some . This forum has been a blessing to a new rider like myself . You guys rock man ! Thank you for all the help .
  14. On this diagram here it would be either 39, or 14 . there the same part number , but they are just numbered different for there area . Thank you very much ! I wish it said the size of that particular piece so I could order my own , and know that I’m getting th correct length and width.
  15. Hey guys , I'm hoping that someone can help me out here . I brought my bike in for an exhaust installation last week and I just noticed that I'm missing a pushpin plastic rivet that connects the U shaped black plastic piece that sits in front of the gas tank ( you probably touch it every time you try to get your key into that tiny space on the 21 tracer 9 ) yeah that piece , and it connects to the side fairing down at the end . I can't find any specs on it accept that Yamaha fairings have some 6 mm push rivets. Can anyone please help.me with this if you have had any experience with ordering new ones . Thank you in advance! Danny-
