  1. Heading up there in just over a week and then back in September. Love going up to that area. We have a rental cabin up there that is just behind Fontana Village.
  2. I have had my FJ since June 2016. I have not had a lot of bikes, but I do tend to keep them all for a good while. The FJ is my favorite. It fits me well and I enjoy it more than any other bike I have owned.
  3. That was you that I saw then. I also rode by a little later in the truck and almost stopped to ogle the bike. Nice looking bike.
  4. Were you staying at Fontana? I saw one there while out running one morning.
  5. Just got back from 9 days at the Dragon. Going back this weekend, mainly to pick up the bikes. Will be back at the end of August. Love it up there.
  6. Rather than looking at the rev range try looking at the throttle position. And when you are adjusting the APS look very carefully at this range in the meter. Hopefully you will see a dead spot and that is your issue. It is possible the wiper in the TPS or APS is slightly dirty or damaged. Also water in the fuel is another common cause of that. (But not rpm dependent)When you say look at the throttle position, is this something I can do while riding? I don't think it's water in the fuel as it has happened through several tanks of gas, from different stations.
  7. Update: I have done the tb sync and thought that the problem may be corrected, but I was wrong. I have ridden the bike numerous times since the sync, varying weather and this morning the temps were much cooler and the bike started having issues again. I watched and any time that it "hiccuped" I was between 4700 - 5000 rpm. It didn't matter if I was maintenance throttle or accelerating. I tried it in Std mode and A mode and still the same results. I checked for codes and there are none. I will be adjusting the TPS(APS) this weekend to see if that helps.
  8. One to meet the latest challenge, and one because we have Yamahas, I just was not able to get anyone to ride it over to my parking space. Next challenge: Your bike with a water wheel
  9. I think this is where we left off - How about a vehicle mounted in the sky. Could be a business/advertising or other unique gem.
  10. Nice. Sno-cones are always cool and refreshing.
  11. When I come to a stop, clutch pulled in, and put the side stand down, the bike shuts off immediately.
  12. It has been almost two weeks and nothing, should I change the challenge?
  13. Throttle body sync has been completed. I have not been able to ride a lot since resetting codes and syncing, but I have been out a little. No issues thus far. I will continue to monitor and update. Thank you again to everyone that replied. Hopefully, this will correct the issue.
  14. Today's update: I reset the codes yesterday afternoon and rode the bike home (32 miles). Only 1 *hiccup*. Temp was 93 and low (for Georgia) humidity. This morning, a little more humid and 72, had some *hiccups* but no codes when I got to work. If there are any this afternoon, I will check when I get home. Also, this morning, when it did have issues, it was in the 4-5k range on RPM.
  15. The sidestand was me. I had gotten in the habit of stopping and putting it down before shutting off the bike. I have broken that habit. I will get them reset and ride it all I can. Thank you.
  16. I am guessing that the ecu flash may have caused some of them. The sidestand switch is my fault.
  17. Battery connections are tight. Bad gas was my first thought as we were up in the mountains. Have cleared out the gas and refilled with fresh and that didn't help it. I will check with 2WDW about any updates to the flash. Thank you all for the information. I will be checking everything until the issue is resolved and I will post the resolution.
  18. Pulled the codes and had the following: 13 15 19 21 22 41 59 89 My throttle body sync tool should be here by Tuesday, so next weekend, I will be checking that and making and adjustments that might be needed.
  19. Not sure if you would consider this unique, creative or interesting, but it was unique for me. My reason for this picture is: I came up with 2 creative ideas but could not accomplish either. One I was missing another part and couldn't locate one. The other, it will be about six months before I would be able to get the picture I wanted. With those ideas being squashed, I went out in search of a picture. I decided to take the roads less traveled (my first trip on gravel) and found this peaceful lake. I stopped on the side of the road, watched the cows for a few minutes, snapped the photo and traveled some more roads less traveled. So for me, this picture is unique because it was a journey I would not normally take. Next picture: I live in Georgia where summer is always hot. Take a picture of your FJ with something cold or refreshing to take my mind off the heat.
  20. No adjustments. I will check for codes and update.
  21. If no one beats me to it, I hope to get a pic this weekend.
  22. From my trip in June. We go up there 4-5 times a year (we co-own a cabin with some friends). Love that place. Like others, I had an SV (was also on that forum for a while) and sold it and moved to the FJ.
  23. Thank you. I will check that and test the TPS this weekend to see if either of those are causing my issue.
