  1. In with your manual and shock wrench was a short length of cable about 8" long. One end I have threaded through the d ring on my helmet and back through itself. The other end goes onto that metal hook under the passenger seat by the latch mechanism. Don't use it anymore after hearing about all these animals using peoples helmets as a toilet. If I caught someone doing that... I don't know if I could restrain myself...
  2. Bingo. Stuff is awesome. Careful, that stuff will eat Aluminum and corrode electrical connections. Ask me how I know. Ok I'll tell you. (I used it as an engine degreaser once. 8,000 lb truck broke down 1/3 the way up a steep local hill in the middle of the night, not fun to back down with manual brakes and steering.)
  3. I just put mine on today. Drilled out the rivet and reused the brake side spring as the replacement was too short. The clutch side pin is a bit long. My only concern is the eclip coming off and the pin rattling out so I may look at trying to drill these (probably hardened though) or finding a suitable replacement pin or bolt. I measured the new pin as .300-.305" so 5/16 would be too big. Otherwise for $11.50, looks like a great mod!
  4. So not plug and play. I ordered 2016 Super Tenere lights. I wanted LEDs, I wanted the running lights feature, and I didn't want to have to deal with adapter plates etc. so the super Tenere has a weather pack connector which deals to the environment much better. Also the wire for the blinker LED's had some inline resistors. I already have a led flasher relay So I ended up cutting the new lights to there which gave me about 3-4" of wire. I cut my old pumpkins leaving them about 2" of wire. Took the pigtails and slid on three individual small pieces of heat shrink tubing and one large one and soldered the connections. (I triple checked which wires controlled constant and which was blinker. Black is the common. I'm happy with the result. The new FZ 10 has the same lights but but maybe the connector is the same as ours. I get why an off-road capable bike would have the sealed connectors so maybe the FZ 10's would be the same as the FJ 09's. I did not to the rear. I have a motor dynamos integrated light on a yoshimura tail tidy. I have to find something that will fit with side cases.
