Purchased here.@clint . Hey man, been looking for that screen everywhere. No amount of google searches were turning it' up. Could you post a link to where you bought it. Preferably with an English version of the website? Thanks!
Simply googled "italian to english" and communicated fine.

You'll need the pegs, the rubber bits, 2 springs and one pivot pin. You can reuse the right side pivot pin (cotter pins required). The rubber bit fits nicely on the peg without hardware. Don't bother purchasing the peg feelers as the Tenere only has a peg feeler on ONE side, so just go without.
Most excellent. What parts did you need to buy? This is on my list of things to do to the bike before spring. I think all I need is the peg, the rubber bit, and the bolt that holds the rubber bit on -- and I can reuse the pivot pin and retention clip from the original pegs. Do I have that about right?Tenere pegs installed!!
This is NOT a straight up swap! It takes some work as you'll have to grind or cut off about 5mm from the new pegs. Then fitting it all on the bracket takes some fiddling. When you've got it done it's pretty tight and wants to bind a bit on movement, but spraying some penetrating grease on the pivot pins and spring made it all work great! I rode today with them, and they truly are an improvement! Totally worth the effort and look great too!

Just call them. They'll ship USPS for about $7.
I wanted to order these and I wanted the black ones to match my bike, which cost $30. When I went to pay, I noticed that they charge $16 just for shipping!! That is ridiculous, just for two light weight aluminum 2" extenders!! Guess I won't be buying them from this company!!...here's the link he posted: http://www.carlscycle.com/catalog_product_detail.asp?cat_2448-19585_product_245373.2_Inch_Mirror_Extenders.htm -
I've had my FJ-09 with OEM hard luggage up to 135 mph several times (ECU Flashed) with absolutely no wobble...period. There is a back road that is WIDE open about 40 miles from home where I can do this safely. This bike is rock solid.I eagerly await your experience riding a luggage equipped FJ09 at 140mph with accompanying video footage of the fork action. With or without a stabilizer.
Just got back from a weekend near Deals Gap, staying at Iron Horse MC Lodge. The FJ-09 was nothing short of perfect on the Cherohala Skyway, Deals Gap, 180, etc. It was comfortable, powerful, compliant, smooth and just thrilling!

No, no!!! The Strom is Donald Duck!!Hahaha if you think the BMW looks like a platypus, check out the new Strom 650XT...

Took the GTS1000 in for a state inspection this morning and saw the new BMW S1000XR! About $18,200. Looked nice! Except I can't get past the duckbill platypus front fairing. For me, at this point in my motorcycle life, the adjustability, value, and (anticipated) easy maintenance of the FJ more than make up for the extra few horses of a new Multistrada. And then there's the BMW S1000XR, which will be interesting to see... Would be curious to hear others' thoughts on this.
@cobby7 @wong93719 @ulewz thanks for your replies!

Very nice! Can you take some pictures of the Shad 29 top case? I waiting for delivery of my Shad SH33! Got it for $84.00 new on fleabay.I bought a vinyl cutter last week so I could make some custom decals and they wouldn't cost a fortune. My progress so far, still yet to do the fj and stripe at the front and the wheels of course!! The bags will also get some sort of treatment when the mounts come in.
Also added a Shad Sh29 top case.
I'm thinking the Yamaha on the sides might have to be reflective blue as well so that it flows.
Also if anyone wants something send me a pm and I'll see what I can do. I'll be trying to make shapes from pictures tonight so I'm sure I'll find the limitations of the software pretty quick

No, ABS is not active at a stand still. Disable TCS and have a ball! But if i stop at a red light and deciced to burn rubber when i hold the front break and pop the clutch the rear tire will be spinning and the front will be still. Wont the front break be pulsing or something?- 1

15w50 isn't mentioned in the manual, but 15w40 shows as good down to 30F which is perfect for NC. Mobil 1 15w50 has gotten my other Yamaha over 100,000 miles with 65,000 on the current clutch plates. It has NO "Energy Conserving" or "Resource Conserving" rating and is fine for a wet clutch. Running it in my FJ-09 now.....mothers milk.BTW, check your owners manual for viscosity recommendations. 15w-50 is only recommended for very hot temperatures, I believe. 10w-40 is recommended for most common temps. -
What you are describing is a circuit that would turn OFF the lights when the bikes signals go on. ( thus being out of synch ) However, in the video the front and rear signals appear to be in synch with the LED lights. That has me baffled as to how that is accomplished. What am I missing?I've got an electronics background, so it seemed pretty straight forward to me. There are 3 wires going to the stock front turn signals, ground, turn and running (12v constant). You can tap those directly using the 3 wires from the converter. Output from the converter is two wire, ground and constant (12v). Those two wires go to the LED knuckle guards. The converter will light the LEDs until the turn signals are activated at which time it will switch power on/off/on/off. Once the turn signals are extinguished, the power is constant again.

It's all done in the circuitry of the converter.

Any chance you can explain or show how you wired these to sync with your turn flashers? Even with the instructions I could not figure how to wire them?Ya, I was thinking of some film like that. But i'd rather have it molded in that color in the first place. Oh well, always something new!
So yours came with the turn signal module then?

I've got mine wired as running lights/turn signals and they won't pass inspection unless they are amber. I'll simply purchase some transparent self adhesive Amber/Orange vinyl. Might even leave the film on there if I like it better. link
NOOOOO!!!!They just released the amber colored version I see on Ebay- http://www.ebay.com/itm/YAMAHA-FJ-09-MT-09-TRACER-Knuckle-guard-LED-Kit-Orange-color-Sync-module-/321766259501?hash=item4aeac37b2d.
I wonder if I can return mine. I wanted to set them up as turn signals anyways..... if they had included the module shown in the instructions.

You can get Yamaha OEM connectors HERE . Yeah, I'd think 1" extenders would suffice if you can find them.Thanks. I ordered some clear ones. Does anyone know were we can buy OEM connectors without having to cut up our original parts?
On the extenders I think I can get 1 inch length. Do you think 1 inch would be good enough for a standard stature rider?

What kind of adjustable levers are those?A quick walkaround of my FJ-09 and the accessories added. The Motodynamic tail light does not flicker like that in person.

Thanks @bobdog! The Anti-Glare product I picked up from Amazon. 3 for around $10. As mentioned in a couple of the reviews, in low light the display loses some sharpness and for that reason alone, I almost removed it. But once I went riding it simply wasn't an issue and on sunny days, it's perfect!! I'm leaving tomorrow on a 4 day ride through West Virginia and will provide more feedback when I return.Clint, nice job. What kind of glare reduction film did you buy? -
The LED turn signals are perfect 3 wire replacements for OEM. Plug and play except I had to cut and splice the OEM wire to retain the OEM connector. Simply combine the 2 hot leads to make them function as turn only on the rears. Ebay LED Turn SignalsWere those clear flasher lenses just plug and play? What kind are they? They look like perfect replacements.
Are the mirror extenders 2". Would 1" be long enough?
The mirror extenders are 2". I don't believe Koubalink sells 1" extenders.

But isn't that what you want? To increase conspicuity? This is the MAIN reason I bought the Motodynamics tail light. All of the LEDs are lit brightly, then flash 3 times quickly and become even brighter when braking. I disabled the turn signal functionality.Installed my new Motodynamics tail light and my new One Off Fab tail tidy kit.
Going to need to figure out how to modify it since all of the LED's come on for running..

Top Box Wobble Solution. Or maybe it would exacerbate the situation. Either way, it would end the suspense! You can thank me later.

It seems that "top box" and "high speed wobble" are mentioned quite often on this forum. Side bags too? Yamaha Corp. specifically cautions against that combination.Very bad steering wobble yesterday. At the being of the day out on a country tour I decided to take her up a few notches. At about 110mph in 6th gear she started to shake but not bad all the way up to 114mph. I backed off.
Heading home I notice a blue corvette following me and passing cars when I pass. So being a not so start guy I dropped her down to 3rd and let her rip past three cars. Hit 4th then 5th at that moment she got the most violent wobble I looked down and she was only at 100mph. I about shet myself and backed off big time. The only difference from that time was going up a hill and really getting on it.
My thought on this was that the front end starting getting light and the wheel was coming off the ground because of the wind screen and top box. What are you guys thoughts?
I will try to post the video latter. It only shows the rear view. Also the corvette was no match for the fj. Lol.
