  1. Had the same thing happen blew the main fuse and the ETV(throttle wire) fuse. I have the 2017 model so the code can't be erased. drove it for a 1000km with the engine light on no problems. Had the shop erase the code and it was the Throttle wire fuse it picked up and all was working as it should.
  2. I had to jigsaw about 5 extra millimeters to be able to plug the power in. There is no hole for the power button. All fixable just waiting for the mount from china to hook it up. I'll give you credit if anyone asks.
  3. Correct. I modified it with a Dremel tool to fit, the power buttons are in different locations, so I had to cut a hole to fit. It is very stable and I have used the modified cradle for 2 seasons with zero issues. ------------------------------------------------------------- Got the cradle and the ball in the mail. Did you Mcgyver the cradle just so the power cord could plug or did you also do it for the little round power button on the back also?
  4. Me again, more questions than a five year old. Your setup seems more professional and solid. You mentioned you bought a Garmin Drive 51LM but the cradle is for a Garmin Nuvi 50. Just wanted to make sure on the cradle before I order. Thanks.
  5. Thanks again. I just bought the exact GPS online for a great price. After searching for a while this seems like the easiest way. Does the back of your gps allow the Garmin Ball"?
  6. Thanks, is there anything you have to do with a car specific GPS to mount the ram ball to the GPS? I was planning on getting this to mount it.
  7. I did the same thing with my white 2017 FJ-09 the strips are gold since that matches the fairing. It was the first thing I did other than the beak. It was the two things that finished the flow of the bike, for me anyway.
  8. Is that a GPS for a car? If so how did you mount it with a ram ball? I just use my phone now and literally have a sandwich bag if it starts to rain. It's only when I do a few trips each year that i need a GPS and did not want to spend the crazy prices they want for the motorcycle specific ones.
  9. That was fixed in the 2017 model so if the occasional dirt road is all you're going to do I wouldn't bother.
  10. Thanks guys, a 12mil hex drive may cost more than the ends.
  11. I want to get rid of the useless hand guards on these bikes. I read that the FZ-09 bar ends would work, bought them and no such luck. Anyone have barends without the guards.
  12. Tried to buy it but won't ship to Canada. Looked like a good deal with great reviews.
