What did you do to your FJ-tracer-gt today?
RonZuidhoek replied to yamaham's topic in FJ-09 Tracer 900 General Discussions
Not much left of the bike. Good job, getting ready for next season. -
To beak or not to beak .....
RonZuidhoek replied to fivesteezy's topic in FJ-09 Parts and Accessory reviews
I had both on my 2015. Love the back wheel mud guard. On the 2013 i only have the mud guard. Helps a lot, keeps the bike more clean. And i think it looks like it should be there. I have not seen a "new" model 2022/2023 with a beak yet. You can find it on Ebay but........ See for yourself -

It is just a knock off from Ali, cost about 15€, fits well. -
This looks great, it is KISS. I like it. Maybe i will steal your idea and make it work on my Tracer as well. Maybe i can modify the Cosmo brackets a little to make it work. I was trying to fabricate something to add to the centre bolt between the 2 screens. This is a bit more solid and easy to fabricate.

Okay, so i bought a set of Cosmo brackets and mounted them om the GT. It fits like it is meant to be. Thanks @SVincent

Anyone using the Cosmo GPS mount on a 2023 9GT??? Bracket It says it should fit, but according to the description the 2023 model isn't mentioned.

RonZuidhoek replied to RonZuidhoek's topic in FJ-09 Tracer 900 General Discussions
According to the website of Cosmo, it should fit the 2023 9 GT. @SVincent was talking about the changed windshield adjuster. As i understand, the mounting points of the windshield are still the same, only the length of the upper part is changed. That is the reason for asking..... Maybe someone here has mounted the ram like mount on a 2023 9 GT. -

This one doesn't fit, if you select the 2023 Tracer 9GT. The one GIVI has, is around 180€ for both the bracket and the mudguard. I will order one, it stops a lot of spray, so the bike doesn't get so dirty. Prio one for now is a decent bracket for a phone/navigation. Still in doubt for a ram mount like bracket like This one or something like This. Anyone suggestions on which one to choose? -

Today i took Tracy for a trip again. Every time it is a joy. I am starting to get used to her, and it is getting better and better every time. Yesterday i added the Yamaha OEM usb chargeport in the dedicated bracket Still in doubt to add the GIVI mudguard at the rear wheel. -

You did already 400km?? Overhere the weather sucked over the weekend so between showers i did only 100km. I need to look for an mount for my phone aswell. The GT did not have an USB connection on board, so i ordered the optional one from Yamaha. During the week i will take her out for a drive. Maybe later on tonight, just to make the 1000km.😁 -

For what i can say after 100km..... I love the CC. This works like a charm and is a nice feature for.long rides. The sound is a little bit more raw/louder. I don't know what to think of the T32 tires yet. Always had Continentals. Dashboard is very nice, a lot of information, all you need to know. Hopefully this i can put on more km this week. -

If you do a 2 hour drive, you get from the west to the east. From the north to the south it takes about 2,5 hours. Took the 2015 for a last trip to Germany, did 1000km in 3 days. -

I think as well. Looking forward to ride the 9GT. Today i took the my 2015 Tracer for a last trip to Germany. Hopefully i will have the GT by next weekend, as the dealer says. -
Today, after 15K km's, i decide to swap my 2015 "Lava Red" Tracer for an 2023 "Pure White" Tracer 9GT. I enjoyed every km i put on my current one, so i look forward to start riding te new one. The 9GT looks an rides amazing and after getting used to the new front, it stole my heart (and most of my money as well). I ordered the original Yamaha 34ltr (white) Topcase to go with it. It is on stock so within a week, week and half i will be able to put on the first km's. Are there more people here that made the switch from the 2015 to the 2023? What are the pro's and con's, comments and experiences. Looking forward to some of your comments.

She is from 2015 and she has approx. 42000km/26000mile on the clock. I did some investigation and checks on her, and this is what i have found. Oil level when on the centre stand is neesly between the lines. I took of the tank and opened the airbox. No excessive oil in the airbox, there was no oil residu in the airbox. Next i checked the crankcase breather hose and i saw it was folded. I shortened the hose a bit, and put her all back together. When the airbox was mounted i double checked the hose, and it was still straight. So i put her all back together and i will put in a new seal anyway. Hopefully it is fixed now and i can put on more km/miles on her whitout any oilspittingproblems. Thanks to @skipperT

As far as i can see, she is not overfilled with oil. Will check again later tonight. No extra oil is been added to the bike during the trip.
