  1. Greetings from another newbie from the great white north, Love the tracer think its highly underrated and under marketed up here. The t700 looks like a great mid size adv. All depends on the type of riding you do, if you're only occasionally hitting a fire road or gravel id go with the tracer. Way more fun on road, makes me grin everytime i climb on mine.
  2. Technically yesterday, but got my semi custom exhaust installed on the bike. Consists of a no name headers and looped mid pipe with a few bends added on to bring the muffler out from under the bike, and a sc knockoff mounted under the passenger pegs. Also started the install of the sw motech pro carrier system, so i can run larger side cases. Finally figured out how to resize pics!
  3. Welcome from another newbie! The speedmaster is an awesome ride, was my last bike before my year and a half hiatus from riding. You won't be disappointed with the GT got myself a 2019 last spring, makes me grin everytime I ride.
  4. I'll do a bit of a revive of this thread. With a bit of work to relocate the can, which i'm in the process of doing, can't beat the price and so far the quality seems decent. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07MCTFHYW/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_w8DnEbYFVPTP6
  5. General torque for M8 ranges between 23 to 30 nm. I'd go with 25nm(18ft/lbs) but work my way up to it in case the internal threads were damaged when they stripped the bolt. Might also want to run a tap or thread chase in it to make sure there is no pieces of stripped thread in there.
  6. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Yeah I consider myself pretty lucky to work and live here. Got some fantastic rides on my doorstep. I've only got about 3k on the bike so far as I've got three young kids who have dance, gymnastics, daycare etc. Couple rides near me; Daytrip, Kelowna to Vernon via westside rd. Can be busy in the summer but challenging and scenic. 1 plus day ride, Nakusp via Hwy 6 through Lumby to Needles ferry. About 3-4 hours one way from Vernon depending on volume at the ferry, amazing road and they have upgraded the surface on a lot of it. And in Nakusp they have a campground specifically for riders called Riders retreat. No need for tent etc as all that is provided, great way to do a weekend without having to pack all your gear.
  7. Hi everyone, Been a fan of this forum for awhile now and finally got off my butt and joined. Lots of inspiration and knowledge. As for myself, been riding about 15 years now and last spring finally got myself a new ride after having older bikes and or selling them to buy a house(long story). After much research and waiting for it to come out up here i got myself a 2019 tracer gt. Love it, now in the process of improving it. Cheers and looking forward to being a member.
