They would know if a leak-down test was performed along with the compression test:

when a compressed air source is fed into the combustion chamber of an engine at TDC compression, the piston is all the way up and both valves should be closed.
By measuring the air loss, and determining where it is leaking from the engine, one can establish whether the air is coming past the piston and rings, cylinder, intake valves or exhaust valves on the cylinder being tested.

these results are why a leak-down test is ALWAYS more valuable information than a compression test when performed correctly. Compression tests also have their merit, esp on a 2-stroke. Less so on 4 stroke engines.

Oh I know how it works . I'm  just questioning this dealer's results,!  Mike

  2. Almost bought one of these when they first came out. Actually went to the dealer with a grand for a deposit. Didnt have one in stock and couldn't tell me when they would get one ,so didnt take my deposit. I wanted a sporty Harley and finally thought this was it . I liked the Buels. but never pulled the trigger. Would like to have one ,like you just for the different riding experience !           MIKE

I don’t have the Powervision programmer, and the Target-tune seemed to be running pretty rich, so I temporarily removed it and put the stock narrow-band sensors back in.   It’s running so well now, I’m tempted to just leave it alone.

It’s a weird guilty pleasure to ride this thing:  There is no rational explanation for what makes it so fun…

  4. I noticed the tight and angled shifting with my size 11 boots on first ride on my new 2020 coming home from dealer . I to tried to do some adjust at lever connections but could quickly see that wasnt going to work. I pondered and thought , hey just move the upper splined conection from gear box 1 tooth. Wow problem solved. Not the racing angle from the factory ,and fits and shifts great Quick shifter and all.

  5. Congrats on your new ride. Like many of the older guys a great change to go to a lighter weight alternative, myself coming from a Honda ST 1300 and going to a 2020 GT . Love the power and the light handling. To me it seems like riding a big dirt bike compared to the heavy ST. No regrets what so ever and has been a trouble free Joy to ride!

Very cool.  I've heard nothing but good things about those bikes.  Part of me (ok most of me) wants to try one, but another part of me is thinking, gawdang them young un's on them new fangled thangs!  You'll pry my clutch lever outta my dead, cold hand!

I agree with having a clutch lever to control. I was pleasantly surprised to see the cp3 with the cable clutch, being my last 2 rides were hydraulic and not as smooth ,also a lot more complex. That said the DCT,s in the Honda line are nice!

I've been eyeballing an ABBA Skylift myself.  The things are awesome.  Tons of money, though, pretty tough to justify... but soooooo cool.

Really, though, the superbike stand with front lift is good enough for all reasonable purposes.  I'd just love to not have to bend over/kneel anymore; what with shot knees and all.  And being able to have your bike standing in wheelie position and able to be wheeled around that way would be very cool....  but more than twice the price.

Yea the sky lift is pricey. At least with the superbike stand with front lift, will be able to take off both wheels for easier tire changes and also exhaust work !

  8. Welcome , I too coming from an ST 1300 Honda wanted something lighter and the GT900 looked like the bike. Also coming from many years of riding and racing dirt bikes ,it reminds of a big dirt bike with its quickness and, light weight, but with the street goodies to make the ride enjoyable!
