Side stand angle?
Great Gonzo replied to Great Gonzo's topic in FJ-09 Tracer 900 General Discussions
No I’ve had the bike from new, I’ve got sports bikes too but these don’t lean as much. TBH it’s not really a massive issue as I use the centre stand 95% of the time. i was just curious if others felt the same. gonz. -
Side stand angle?
Great Gonzo replied to Great Gonzo's topic in FJ-09 Tracer 900 General Discussions
I have put a larger foot on but I’m still not happy with the angle. gonz. -
Does anyone find that the side stand leans the bike over too far ? I have a large heavy top box fitted and when using the side stand it just feels like it’s going to fall over lol. Gonz.

Quick shift opinions?
Great Gonzo replied to Great Gonzo's topic in FJ-09 Tracer 900 General Discussions
An update on my original post. I managed to get an original new Yamaha quick shifter for £144 which I thought was a good price. fitted today with a little help from YouTube, was actually very easily and only look 30 minutes. so glad I have done this as it’s a great laugh, gear changes are super fast and sound great. cheers Gonz. -

So no need to close throttle on up shifts? gonz. -
Hi guys i currently have a 900 tracer on a 2021 reg but 2018/19 model not a GT. I have a few mods including the following. Yamaha heated grips. Yamaha rad cover. full black widow exhaust. re-map. ceramic coating. RG crash protection I like the idea of the quick shifter but I don’t know a lot about them so my questions are…. 1. How is it turned on and off? 2. Can you fit them yourself? 3. Can you switch from using the clutch to QS quickly ? 4 any disadvantages of them ? gonz

I commute most of the year round, but anything below 3 degrees celsius and I get the train. gonz.

Not bad sirepair. gonz.

Oh ok i didn’t know that. I think our regular fuel in the UK is 95 and our premium is 98+. im sure my handbook quotes to use premium fuel only. gonz.
-
93 fuel??? I thought you are meant to use a higher octane?
-
Wow that’s some great MPG there!! have you thought about getting the ECU mapped ? It totally smooths things out and you won’t need to ride in map B. gonz.
-
Out of interest what sort of MPG are you achieving? I know there’s a lot of things to factor but all comments all welcome. Im riding a new 2018 900 Tracer with a remapped ECU and black widow exhaust but MPG was consistent before. All sorts of riding conditions inc London City commuting. Always premium Shell Optimax 98 rom fuel average 59.5 mpg cheers Gonz.

Popping & Farting (the bike, not me for a change :-) )
Great Gonzo replied to bowlin01's topic in Tracer 900 GT Discussions
Steve i have a 2021 900 tracer although it’s actually a 2018. I installed a 230mm GP style black widow and its bloody amazing, baffle in and it’s perfect. Before I had it remapped it popped and banged a lot. The bike ran well tho. now I have had it mapped and it’s super smooth, it still pops but not as much which I think is just right. Gonz. -
aftermarket Akrapovic exhaust vs OEM Yamaha Akrapovic
Great Gonzo replied to bugie's topic in FJ-09 Exhaust
This is the only good looking exhaust, not a fan of the stubby cans, slash cut all day long. gonz.
