My boy’s first real street ride.

Gentlemen, today I went out and rode with my son for the first time. Me on my bike and he on his. It was only about 10 miles and 45 minutes. Out of the 250k plus miles I’ve put on two wheels it was the best motorcycle ride I’ve had by far so far. I’m telling you this because if you have children it is something for you to look forward too. A ride that I will never forget.

Very cool!  The first real ride I had with my dad was just last summer, and it was AWESOME.  He showed me a remote area where a forest service cabin once existed; he worked there for 3 summers.  We toured around southern BC and Alberta.

You're right - it's a great way to create memories.

My first ride with my dad was in 1982 when I bought my new rd350lc. We left Montreal for Vancouver, B.C. on his Harley and my rd350. Near the end of life he reminded me of that first ride as one of the hi-lights of his biking life. We were fortunate to have a couple repeat trips later on but that first trip was memorable. He was fortunate to have 3 sons and 2 daughters ride....
