Guest Posted November 7, 2015 Share Posted November 7, 2015 Has anyone considered shorter handlebar risers on the FJ-09? I'm 5'7" with a 30' inseam ad would prefer just a bit more forward lean. Only idea I've come up with so far is seeing if I can swap a set off an FZ-09. Anybody have other ideas or know if there are different risers out there I can use? hobo Posted November 7, 2015 Share Posted November 7, 2015 I have been wanting to do the same thing. I don't think fz risers are tall enough to let the bars clear the tank. At full lock there isn't much room over the tank. Renthal makes some 'fat bar' risers that are 2 1/2" tall. They may work, 3" would be ideal. The other thought was to take stock risers to machine shop and have them cut off some from the bottom. Mounting stud would have to be removed/replaced.
