berryber
I have a Widder heated vest I bought back in 1993. I likely left the power cord with the fuse on my CBR900 when I sold it. Anybody have an idea what size fuse I need for the cord I will be making. Even knowing what fuse the newer ones use would help.
BentAero
My two Warm & Safe brand power cords both have 15 amp inline fuses. I can't imagine the Widder would be much different. Keep Asheville weird!

Powerlet make a range of replacement leads at reasonable prices that make cobbling them together yourself a waste of effort http://www.powerlet.com/shop-by-product/heated-clothing/HEATCLTHNG This signature is left blank as the poster writes enough pretentious bollocks as it is. It is most definitely not anywhere near the low amp draw of a recent technology heated garment. It'll need at least a 10 amp fuse in the line, likely a 15. Keep Asheville weird! berryber
Thanks, I, put a 10 in and leave it on hooked up to a jumpstart and if it blows I'll try a 15. If the 10 works I might try a smaller one, but at least I have a starting point now.
streeter
They come with a 10 amp fuse. The vest draws 40 watts, and at 12 volts that's 3.3 amps.
