Which is the better deal? + new seat... you will only be able to tell conclusively which is the better deal when comes the time to trade, swap, re-sell, the 'last year's model' with all add-ons. It will depreciate much more than a new GT, IMHO. There are also the unmeasurables - the appeal, pleasure, and sheer satisfaction of owning the newer GT. Although many would be more than happy with the 'last year's model'. Riding a fully-farkled 2019 MT-09 Tracer 900 GT from my bayside home in South East Queensland, Australia. Premium Member DavidS Posted August 11, 2018 Premium Member Share Posted August 11, 2018 I wonder how much the dealer would give me for my 2015 with all the upgrades, that would be the key number to compare to the GT's price of $13,

nsmiller
Reno's told me our 2015 with just under 20 K miles, and all its upgrades was worth between 4,500 and 5,000 trade in on a new GT. Admitted that it would be best to sell the '15 FJ-09 private party and you could likely get $7,500 for it that the dealer couldn't offer. In other words, upgrading to the Tracer GT would cost us about $8,000 right now. EDIT: As cool as the new Tracer GT is, the additional cost is well out of our budget considering we already have the bikes we do in the garage. Plus Audrey prefers the red color. I agree with you, while it would be nice to get some of the newer features, not enough of a real change to warrant the big check it would take.
