Even if it doesn't do any harm still don't feel right to me. I get what you’re saying, but you damage your bike everytime you turn it on. Things wear out and need to be replaced or rebuilt, and even with obsessive maintenance it’s eventually going to die. Different habits mean different parts wear out faster or slower, but as long as you’re okay with the cost it’s all good. So wear that thing out and have fun doing it!
