velvetglove
Does anyone know of a passenger backrest for the FJ09? I don't want to mount a top box and my wife feels uncomfortable with nothing behind her.
velvetglove
I didn't mention that I have installed the factory luggage rack. Could a backrest be attached to it?
root
I've not dealt with them but pirateslair.net may have something that could work for you. Their stealth backrest looks nice and mounts to a top rack.
henry
Excellent question. I was also wondering if anyone knows if they make a passenger removable backrest.
bobdog
pirateslair's phone is 828 628 7093. The back rest is removable, leaving the mount behind, and bolts to the stock FJR rack. it's also just shy of $400. I will call later today and ask if it will fit an FJ 09, or if they have plans to make one for the bike. 2015 Grey FJ09 with a few tweaks, 2007 HD Street Glide - Good Bike + Good Friends = Good Day. velvetglove
I sent photos of my Yamaha luggage rack to Pirates lair. They said nothing they have will fit due to the lip at the front of the rack.
vince
I sent photos of my Yamaha luggage rack to Pirates lair. They said nothing they have will fit due to the lip at the front of the rack. Another reason why we need the euro tail rack here. It has no lip to get in the way.
Premium Member hawkeye Posted August 8, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted August 8, 2015 Looks like Corbin has come up with just what we were looking for. Pricing starts around $450. http://corbin.com/yamaha/yfj09r.shtml Shut up and take my money!
