  1. Finished the 8K maintenance. Well, except for the broken clutch sensor switch.
  2. What did I do today? Broke the damn nub off the clutch sensor switch Part No is 3YX-82917-01-00 in case anyone needs it.
  3. I had a problem charging my phone the last time I went out riding. It would stop charging until I removed the USB cord from the phone and plugged it in again. Then it would only slow charge and eventually it barely provided any power to the phone at the point it was draining battery. I wasn't sure if it was a problem with my phone or the bike or the adapter. I don't think that it was because the charger was wiggling out. I had that problem when I first got the bike and was using the adapter I had for my car. This time I was using an some AUKEY flush fit car charger I got from Amazon and the only way to get that sucker out is by using my nails. I got this adapter as well. Haven't had a problem with it yet, although getting it out requires some "fa-nan-galin'"
  4. Great thinking - cannot afford to waste that stale gas! Great excuse for A Mode. Thursday my excuse was "I took the GIVI luggage off, maybe I should check out the increase performance in A-mode.". And yes, the luggage is removable with a key turn.
  5. Thanks everyone, this is great info. I've never had a suspension upgrade done on any of my bikes in the 25+ years I've been riding, so this is new to me and I'm still research all my options. I'll take a look at the Ohlins like everyone has said.
  6. I figured that both ends should be done, but this is my first foray into aftermarket shocks. The weight specs come from what you can order on Revzilla, so I was going by that. As for being supported, I've seen lots of info on the boards about Ohlins, but nothing about Nitron, so I was just wondering.
  7. If so, what do you think? Which shock did you get? (R1, R2, or R3?) How heavy are you? I ask this because I'm about 270 with no gear. Biggest these come in are 250lb setups. Finally, did you upgrade the front shocks along with the Nitron?
  8. Added a RAM mount to my setup for GPS, phone, music, and the occasional movie when waiting for the I5 bridge.
  9. The Outback series is expandable with their soft luggage line, but honestly, you could use and 3rd party that his tie downs. It looks like the Dolomiti is expandable as well, but that handle might get in the way. I have the Outback Trekkers, I love them. I can carry all my gear for riding plus four bags of groceries
  10. They are the first set of replacement tires from OEM. I got just over 5K on the OEMs, but I didn't like how they felt. Here they are, along with the new axle bar spacers I got on e-bay and a fresh wash for the 90+F weather weather we are going to have this week.
  11. Pulled the tires off and brought them to the shop to get some new PR4's. Can't wait to pick them up tomorrow.
  12. Finished mounting my new pelican case slash tail luggage. Now it just needs some Zombie graphics.
  13. Well, they replaced the risers but didn't bother to put the caps back on facing the correct way. It's little shit like this that really pisses me off when it comes to dealerships. If they can't be bothered to check the service manual to see which way the riser caps go, how do I know they got the right torque? To answer my own question, they didn't. Specs call for 16nM. They tightened the bolts hand tight, maybe 12nM. A$$hats.
  14. Ordered a set of Michelin Pilot Road 4 GT Tires. Still have the OEM tires on it and the rear is showing cracks at 4900 miles.
  15. Why are you getting the risers replaced? They said the risers were part of the recall. Which was why they needed me to bring the bike in initially, so that they could order the "right color". I almost told them they were full of shit, that there is only one color for the 2015 that is even close to the silver/gold of the red bike. I just got home, but working until 4pm. Will check them out tonight.
  16. Not only did I mark up the parts to be replaced, but I washed the bike and then took detailed photos and videos of my tank. They scratch my beautiful red paint job on the tank and I swear by Grabthar's Hammer, there will be hell to pay.
  17. 1pm for mine today. Also marked up the risers to make sure they replace them, as well as putting marks on the handle bars to make sure they put them back to the correct angle.
