I went for a quick jaunt yesterday. First time out with Corbin seat and ECU reflash. Bike is definitely loads smoother. Still undecided on the Corbin though.
At the risk of being scolded for off topic discussion, I advise against this. Lubricant residue in the cable is probably toxic to your cat.Ah, fair enough. Guess its a good thing they didn't like it very much.
Back in early December I pulled the ECU for a flash. Last night I finally got around to putting everything back together. New clutch cable went in as well. The old one will be used as a cat toy. I checked the torque on the handle bar bolts. I'll get around to having the recall done later this year but before riding season takes off.
Its so sunny out I thought I could squeeze in a ride with my freshly reflashed ECU. Took a peak at the thermostat and its 14F (-10C)... Think I'll just stay at my desk.
Got a chance to go for a ride yesterday! Its December and 60 degrees here in MO. Super rare, but very welcome. Hopefully I have time to get out again today.
This game will take off a lot more in the spring when more members can participate. However, I'm sure there are some members who could get a head start on the rest of us
I'm about to take some heat for this BUT....
I went 45k on my Daytona 675 before replacing the OEM sprockets. Only reason I had to replace was a chain lost a roller and the steel shaft dug into the sprockets destroying them. Replaced them with a pair of OEM sprockets that had 20k miles on them and I put another 20k on them before I sold her. Keep on up on the chain maintenance and the sprockets will last a long time.
If your rear is fine the front is almost always fine too.
