I also have the full Akro on my 2017 and it pops and crackles on deceleration but I haven't done any flashing or other changes from stock. I actually like the sound. In fact if I accelerate gradually and hold the throttle closed for a second between gear changes it will also give a pop.
What is this AIS of which you speak?

I thought this was going to be a Waverunner report 😊

I have the full carbon Akrapovic and just the sound makes it worth every penny.
I rode the bike home from the dealer, around 15km, then fitted the Akrapovic the next day. Hence I can't comment on extra power but it is a hell of a lot lighter than stock. And louder. There was a sticker on the pipe that said "not for highway use". Pffft.
I don't like the look of the "factory" Akrapovic systems and I don't know what they sound like.

That's a given but the Givi also matches the tank profile pretty well.
It seems the Givi release can get snagged accidently by something unlatching it.
That's unlikely to happen while riding but it's never happened to me at all.

I didn't ride today as I had to cut the grass but it was a beautiful day to ride, temperature was mid 30s C and bright sunshine, the same is forecast for the rest of the weekend so maybe tomorrow or Sunday.
Happy new year from the southern hemisphere summer!

Saw this interesting video on the original trike, the Honda ATC All Terrain Cycle. My thinking is that although the new Niken three wheel design design that allows the rider to lean is fundamentally different than the Honda ATC, Honda is maybe waiting to see the results through Yamaha before undertaking the plunge back into the wheels again.
One of my friends had a Honda ATC 250R back in the day, it was huge fun to ride but ready to bite you at the slightest chance.
If you got your balance right you could do monster crossed-up slides on sand but if you flipped it you usually ended up under it.

Ok so I gotta replace my dust seals.
Why does a year-old bike need new seals?
My Fazer was 16 years old when I sold it, original seals and no leaks.

Interesting. I use it every time I lubricate the chain. Every 500 km and/or every week.
My bad, what I meant was that I rarely parked the bike on the centre stand, of course I used it to lube the chain.
I have a paddock stand for the Tracer.

My Fazer had a centre stand and I used it maybe a dozen times in 16 years,

I honestly don’t remember it being that difficult with the stock shock on my FJ, although I only adjusted it a couple of times before replacing it with an aftermarket shock.
So you have the bike on the center stand? Definitely do that to fully extend the shock: It gives you more room to work, and lightens the pressure on the preload adjustment collar.
no centre stand I'm afraid. I think I will take the bike for a service and ask the dealer to set the preload.
-
How do you get in to adjust the preload on the stock shock?
I can't figure it out with that stupid C tool.

The cost of Tracer 900 decals might be costly
According to Ron Ayers website the Tracer decal is $18.47 and the 900 decal is $2.89

(actually remove the key from the bike, as I don't think leaving the key in the bike is a smart move, even in my garage)
I even lock the steering in my garage!

I like:
The instruments
The running lights
The repositioned front indicators
The front end look
I don't like:
The exhaust 🤮
The panniers, but I wouldn't buy a GT anyway
I probably won't like:
The price

I'm sure I recently read a new rider introduction from a female rider who is 5'2" and she had lowered her bike, I can't remember the name now (or maybe it was the other forum I am on).

2SCL is just the code for 2017 Tracer. Yours is “deep purplish blue metallic” by the look of it.
My Fazer 600 was deep purplish blue metallic and it was a much darker blue.

Has anyone tried these?
I saw them this morning on LinkedIn and they look interesting, anything that improves visibility has to be worth considering!
Scroll down for the video.

I don't remember if I already replied to this topic and I wasn't going to troll through 18 pages to check.
Mine is blue, I don't know if it has a name.
Am I the only nudist around here?

My hand guards were removed directly after the stock pipe. Way too wide after a Fazer 600 and nerve racking for lane splitting.
I still need to try riding without the screen.
