@stonegoat, welcome. Get the GT. With 35 years in the dirt you have more skills than 95% of the riders out there. Methanol discussion is not an issue for new bikes. Yes I buy ethanol free 87 when I see it, but do not go out of my way. Throttle is fine. GT is the first jap bike in 30 years for me and is great. I am sure the Honda is great to. Not many bad bikes out there anymore. Good luck.

Like @Open1Mind I tried various options and about 8 years ago went to custom moulded in ear speakers wired externally to the Sena S20. Does not address your concern about having wires run out of the helmet to the exterior, routing those wires when you take your helmet off etc, etc. I used a guy that goes to the international bike show that trips around the US, they mould your ears at the show and then produce them and mail them to you. Expensive, but they have lasted 8 years. They are of the quality (I am told) that musicians use on stage. I do not have the brand in front of me, but there a few companies doing this. Vince

Hi there, I want to continue to use the Powerlet size 12v auxilary power sockets on the Tracer. These are about half the size of a cigarette lighter socket and are used on BMW/Ducati/Triumph (at least). All my gear is set up for these sockets and I do not want to change them as they are fitted to my other bike. I have set up a PDM60 to safely distribute power, but am looking for ideas where people have actually installed a Powerlet socket in vicinity of the seat - will be used for heated clothing (105W) for self and pillion. Getting that 600 miles up to change the oil. Got it up to 1000 miles over the weekend with some great weather in northern Virginia USA.
