  1. Explain what you mean by turning lights. You already mentioned turn signals so you must mean something else. Do you mean adaptive cornering lights?
  2. The turn signals would be visible at night but I cannot imagine them doing much in bright daylight.
  3. I find that if I intentionally sit up as straight as possible, the problem goes away. Other times, I just scoot back a bit and it's fine for awhile. Mind you I'm on a 2020, so I'm not sure if it's more accentuated now?
  4. So I presume this is the gizmo that makes the headlights flash? I personally think that good, strong beams are the best answer. The flashing can be a bit mezmorizing (at least I have found it somewhat distracting)....Squirrel!!👀
  5. Was out on my [2020] Tracer this past Sunday for a short ride along some less-travelled secondary highways. The weather was perfect - twenty three degrees Celsius and not a cloud in the sky. I was on a long clear stretch of road, and I could see some cars coming toward me on the same road about a kilometer ahead. I was really paying attention to them because I thought (but wasn't sure) I saw a motorcycle at the front of the group. Once it was within 400 meters or so, I could make out the bike, but not that well, as it was really blending in to the vehicle behind it. It got a little closer and I realized it was the new Tracer. First one I've seen on the road. The issue here is the daytime run ING lights. I'd like to see it again, but, from a distance, I found it hard to see any daytime running lights on the bike that made it really visible. The bright sun may have been an issue as well. All in all, I'm wondering if the smaller light housing on the new model has made it harder to project light. I still love the bike, and I see that the 9GT has auxilliary lights, so maybe the simplest answer to this is to just keep the aux lights on all of the time.
  6. How did you end up with a hole in the oil pan? Hit something off road?
  7. The machine shop is going tobcost you a minimum of $300 (and likely $450) when you consider setup time, fitment, possible refinement of the part if it doesn't work. Highly suggest going with the new top end.
  8. I'm wondering if the mechanic can run a really light viscosity oil through it to flush out some of the shavings? Perhaps it does little good unless the engine is cycling.
  9. Are you planning on doing the work yourself? If a shop is doing it, I would recommend getting a new top end. For what it will cost to disassemble and reassemble your engine then fix it, you might as well splurge on the top and and have it fixed right. I'm not sure that the helicoils are meant to withstand high engine Temps? Regardless, I just don't think you're going to get a satisfactory repair job by just fixing the stripped holes.
  10. Haha, nick is my buddy for life! I considered getting a Ural sobi could take him for a ride now and then.
  11. Not sure anyone will notice the lack of a bulge in front but I will. Time to see a shrink! 👨‍⚕️
  12. So I am now a beakless bastard with a newly installed top box:
  13. I realized that there was no point on trying to save it....it would be flopping around in the wind and would eventually dangle and get caught in the wheel, so I decided to remove it myself:
  14. Well, beaks are for pecking, so you could call it a beak or a pecker, either way. I checked underneath last night and saw that my beak had cracked off at the root:
  15. It will only be stiff for 24 hours lol.
  16. As a man and a member of the human race, I instinctively tend to protect things that are floppy, not remove them. 😁
  17. I added the Puig beak to my 2020 Tracer and I can move it slightly up and down when I put pressure on the tip. I've checked the two screws and the two clips, and everything is snug. Is the beak supposed to have some play? During the install. I noticed that the inner lip on the beak just slides into a groove but doesn't fit snugly. Have I done something wrong?
  18. I am also wondering if anyone has found the addition of the X-screen or the VSA Type C screen useful with the OEM screen or otherwise.
  19. Which MRA screen are you running? I think one is better than the other....
  20. OKAY, an update on the Puig beak. I've been meaning to write this for some time now. My beak is floppy up and down somewhat....there is a little bit of play vertically when I move it with my hand from the tip. Is this normal? I checked all of the fasteners and they are snug. The rear of the beak slid above the included horizontal brace, as described in the instructions as well, unless there was another slot above there that I missed, but I dont think so.
  21. What brand cases are you running? Those definitely do not look OEM.
