Saw this post in the Facebook Niken forum where a gentleman had asked an owner what the Niken was like to ride and the owner responded that it is probably the best bike he's every owned. The gentleman then made the comment that he probably hadn't ridden that many bikes before. The owner then posted 30 bikes that he had owned over the years...😀

Thought it would be fun to see what everyone else owned before landing on the Niken.

So following on my top bikes are the niken ,buell Ulysses and Benelli trek .The niken because it does everything and has added a new dimension to my riding .The uylsees because it was by far the best fun ,sounded awesome ,best pillion comfort, pulled the best wheelies, was ugly and no one wanted to steel it lol,The Benelli was a love hate,Italian beauty, sounded fantastic going down hanger straight at Silverstone when it was working .It was fast, handled great,it had style,it did touring ,track days, commuting, when it was running .

  • 1 year later...

Started off on Benzhou 50cc scooter, then CFMoto 650TK, Suzuki GSX-S1000F and now picked up a 2019 GT last week.  The GSX was awesome to ride, but the Niken is a much more enjoyable to way to spend 400km.  (And not that much slower in the twisties)

1968 Honda CB450K, 1976 Honda Gold Wing, 1979 Honda CX500C, 1977 Honda Gold Wing, 2000 Honda ST1100, 2003 Honda ST1100P, 2003 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic, 2012 Honda Gold Wing, 2012 Suzuki Wee Strom, 2014 Honda CTX700D, 2013 Triumph Trophy SE, 2014 Honda CTX1300 Deluxe, another 2014 Honda CTX1300 Deluxe, 2017 Indian Scout ABS, 2018 Honda Gold Wing, 2019 Yamaha Niken GT, and I have a 2023 Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello on order.

My favorite is the second Honda CTX1300.

The best was the 2018 Gold Wing.

The best looking was the 2017 Indian Scout.

The most fun was the Wee.

In terms of the value I got out of the bikes, the Niken is in sixth place:

1 - 2nd CTX1300

2 - ST1100

3 - 1976 Gold Wing

4 - 1st CTX1300

5 - 2018 Gold Wing

6 - Niken GT

7 - Indian Scout

I've enjoyed them all. The Triumph and the Harley were my least favorites due to their lack of reliability.
