stringman
In my never ending quest to achieve some wind protection, and getting it pretty good with a MRA I discovered that if I ducked down an inch or so it was ideal. I have tried rotating the risers and twisting the bars forward but that didnt make much difference. So my next option is either 60mm bar lowers and/or different handlebars Has any one done this? It seems the rizoma 60mm risers are the ones to go for and, from what I can see, the clearances are ok. When looking at bars it seems that renthall bars are the choice. I do find the bars a bit uncomfortable on the wrists. But what model would Choose to get a 30mm drop? ( i dont even know the height of the standard bars!) and could I combine the 2?? All advice is appreciated. Thanks
Supporting Member Heli ATP Posted May 20, 2022 Supporting Member Share Posted May 20, 2022 If your goal is purely better wind protection, a lot of us have had success with an cheap spoiler/wind deflector. Might be worth the $20? Motorcycle Wind Deflector
stringman
Maybe I should have given more detail. I have the MRA vario so have the spoiler. I just need to be able get lower.
stringman
I am wondering if raising the bike bake to original height might improve things. I am thinking that lower bars would be better than lower risers as they would also change the wrist position. It seems that street nakeds are the bar if choice but I wondered what the rizoma equivilant would be? TIA
