Ddog gt
Has anyone replaced the shock spring on the OEM Tracer 900gt rear shock. Have not taken the shock to see. Thank you
stringman
I think the general opinion would be that whilst you are going to the effort and expense to swap the spring over you might as well get a whole new shock ( which is an easy swap without any specialist tools) TBF on my GT I bought it with an ohlin shock but the spring was too stiff so I bought a different spring and had is swapped out. Ddog gt
Trying to not buy a whole new shock. Looking in the manual it looks like it is not possible. The price of a spring is much more appealing than the cost of a shock. The rebound on the stock shock is adequate.

You might still be okay if the springs aren't much different, but the effective damping range will shrink a bit.
