Oil seal clutch axle came out

Recommended Posts

She is from 2015 and she has approx. 42000km/26000mile on the clock.

I did some investigation and checks on her, and this is what i have found.

Oil level when on the centre stand is neesly between the lines.

I took of the tank and opened the airbox. No excessive oil in the airbox, there was no oil residu in the airbox.

Next i checked the crankcase breather hose and i saw it was folded.

I shortened the hose a bit, and put her all back together. When the airbox was mounted i double checked the hose, and it was still straight.

So i put her all back together and i will put in a new seal anyway. Hopefully it is fixed now and i can put on more km/miles on her whitout any oilspittingproblems.

Thanks to @skipperT

The hose could have been straightened but that may have been your problem with low miles like you have

I was just spitting in the wind to see if it was overfilled and increased oil volume will increase crank Case pressure.

I've never heard of a shift shift seal having a problem before unless there was a crash involved

Makes sense, the seal is unlikely to pop out without positive crank case pressure. I went with the nuclear option by suggesting excessive blow by, the follow up by someone else to check the PCV and vents was way more sensible.

Looks like you’ve found the issue, nice work!
