Supporting Member betoney Posted June 7 Supporting Member Share Posted June 7 Some of our mountain passes are closed half of the year due to snow, a few days ago both Cayuse and Chinook Passes opened for the season. When they open I make it my priority to ride up there at first opportunity. 72F at the summit this afternoon. Last week I rode the FJ into Olympic NP so this week I took the VFR. I am SO fortunate to have this available as a day ride. 👍🏻 I stopped at Whistlin' Jack's Lodge in Cliffdell, Wa for lunch, nice chill spot with scenic views overlooking the Naches River. Grilled chicken with swiss, bacon and avocado and a side of beer battered onion rings. NO, I didn't finish them all... 3 5 1 ***2015 Candy Red FJ-09***

robzilla
Nice @betoney! One of my fave rides/routes! Great pictures and write up. I was planning to ride up today but needed to do some light maintenance on the Tracer, ie clean & oil chain plus oil change. Guess I can do it this weekend or Monday! My other fave mountain rides is North Cascades highway and Mount Baker!

Next time you do North Cascades, continue East and take the Inchelium ferry across the Columbia River, its free. Go through Chewelah and ride Flowery Trail Rd. it will blow your mind, I promise!! Its almost 40 miles of unending 80+mph sweepers up by a ski resort with rarely any traffic, ever. https://maps.app.goo.gl/L3f7hGh8xEAqYwWc8 2 1 ***2015 Candy Red FJ-09***
