Ram Mount Phone Holder Installed

Recommended Posts

I have always wanted to try out the Ram Mounts for my phone on my motorcycles, but never had much space on my R6.  However the FJ 09 handlebars provide a lot of room to mount such a device, so I ordered the following and installed.

U Mount
$13.69

Phone Cradle
$23.08
RAM-HOL-UN10BU

Socket Arm
$8.99
RAP-B-201U-A

Install was very easy, just two 11mm nuts on the U bolt, with the plastic guide on the bottom.  Then connect the two balls with the arm.

The phone cradle is the XL model, and holds my Galaxy Note 4 phone (5.7" screen) very securely.  I gave it a test ride in my city today, and we have very crappy roads.  Lots of potholes and bumpy cement, and it held perfectly.

Now I can take longer rides and have my GPS on, and GPS verify my speed.  So far I have confirmed the speedo reads 35mph, and GPS says 33-34 (fluctuates between the 2).  I'm interested to see what it reads tomorrow at 75mph on my way to work.

I didn't get any pics with my phone in the cradle because that is my only camera haha.  But it sits perfectly below sightline of the speedo.
