They were probably thinking, "more accessories we can sell." Although most probably went with other brands.. '15 FJ-09 w/ lots of extras... But Yamaha doesn't even sell official replacement turn signals in the US - where the signals are the ugliest. I've decided if I do my signals I'm going with the Yamaha OEM signals used on the Super Tenere, which have just 3 very bright LEDs.
