Just wanted to start a thread on what potential competitors there are to the Niken. Looks like Aprilia filed a patent recently for a Niken competitor: Aprilia works on competitor for the Yamaha Niken › Motorcycles.News - Motorcycle-Magazine

2021 Kymco CV3.

Not quite a global competitor to the Niken because of the smaller (550cc) engine, and it's specific to the French, Spanish, and  Italian markets.

Ran across this Swiss company with a four wheeled leaning "motorcycle" called the Quadro 4/Qooter.

See it at AIMExpo, Columbus, OH, Sep. 26-29 [...]

Am assuming their US deployment plan was put on hold because of pandemic.

Back in 2013, Kawasaki debuted their 3 wheel J Cycle Concept:

Looks like Kawasaki hasn't entirely given up on their J-Concept version of a three wheel leaning motorcycle whose first prototype debut was back in 2013:

Alternative to the Niken if you want more car than leaning bike. The Morgan 3 wheeler!

This guy engineered his own three wheeler self enclosed motorcycle. Using a four wheeler ATV as a donor vehicle he took the front end from it and applied it. More Can-Am than Niken since it doesn't lean however you've got to admire his skill in building something like this.

Not sure if I call it a competitor but saw the Yamaha Tricity in Gibraltar while I was visiting recently. Potential cannibalization to Niken sales if one disregards engine displacement classes.

Just got back from Madrid and saw a few Yamaha Tricity, Piaggio MP3 as well as these three wheelers  from Peugeot that I was not familiar with.

These are the Peugeot Metropolis according to the Peugeot UK sitehttps://www.peugeotscooters.co.uk/scooter/52/peugeot-metropolis-sw
