  1. You might find gawking down at the thing distracting... but I bet you'll have all kinds of fun anyway. Bon voyage!... bring back a story.Yeah. I'm not sure about the whole thing. :-/ That's an old Garmin 750. If it don't work out. If it fits it ships at the USPS. Back home it goes. I hope it's adventure. Just not too much adventure.... Wink, wink, nod, nod, nudge, nudge.
  2. Well, you’ll never be able to tell the wife you were late because you got lost. She understands.....
  3. Heading out on a trip the end of next week. Trying to set up the cockpit. I've never used a GPS on a bike. I'm a paper map guy and just use my phone and Google maps at the end of the day to find lodging food and drinks.
  4. Yesterday I put a Roadsmart 3 on the rear. Today I put 150 miles on it.
  5. The end of a Honda in the everglades to a break on Dania beach.
  6. Actually cool by South Florida standards. 50* ish in the morning low 70's in the afternoon.
  7. From the everglades to the (almost) intercoastal
  8. What? If anything is the point of the 3 year old whine about open information on the net? I really don't get it. However the weather is nice here in SOFLA it is a bit windy though.
  9. Yes. That is a Cortech 2.0 24 Liter tailbag expanded to fit the laptop. It is a full sized laptop. 15" x 10" it's a bit snug getting in the opening but it does go in without being awkward. Plus there is room to put other stuff in there with it. The bag is a little bit "floppy" when expanded. The expanded (expanding?) material isn't as ridged as the rest of the bag. So the "ears" can move around some. Hope that was helpful https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/cortech-super-20-tail-bag
  10. .... phew! is there a tail bag in there somewhere? ROTFL!!!!!! (rofl)
  11. That was supposed to be all in the one post. It's snug to get in through the opening side to side but there's plenty of room once it's in.
  12. 2 more pictures of the Cortech with a full size laptop in it.
  13. +1 for the Cortech 2.0. It's a little smaller than you said you wanted but it expands and hold a ton of stuff. I've had mine for almost 2 years and it's permanently attached to the bike so it's a little purple from the South Florida sun. The zippers have held up, it's water resistant on it's own and comes with a pretty good rain cover.
  14. At the risk of being scolded for off topic discussion, I advise against this. Lubricant residue in the cable is probably toxic to your cat. It's not like you're talking about the weather.... Just sayin.
  15. That GBP 300 must include the bike... If you go to twisted throttle and look at the lighting page some of the options cost $400+ usd roughly 300BP without a bracket. Doesn't sound like a bad deal to me.... ymmv http://www.twistedthrottle.com/shop-by-product/lighting-visibility
  16. Under partly sunny skies and temperature in the mid 70's I cleaned and readjusted my newish chain. A few days ago I adjusted it and I had it set very close to the Yamaha stated slack of .59" even though just sitting my fat a$$ on it and loading the suspension it seemed awful tight. Yesterday after putting about 50-60 miles on it under beautiful blue skies and mid 60's temperatures I noticed what I would consider excessive chain noise and I felt as if I wasn't getting full suspension travel. (honestly that could be oversensitivity on my part) My impression was that the chain was too tight. I set the slack to a fuzz more than 1" (maybe 1 1/16") Unfortunately the partly sunny skies gave way to decidedly threating weather. So, I didn't get a test ride in.. The weather is supposed to clear up tomorrow afternoon or Tuesday, I hope to get a test ride in and report back... Stay tuned
  17. America is big, really big. If you have some time and like to ride it can be pretty easy. While this isn't exact this overlay is pretty close.
  18. Typical summer day in South Florida.... Just saying. Find a bar wait it out...
  19. I really liked that MRA especially here in south Florida. Being a smaller screen I found it moved the air up off my shoulders and it really smoothed it out so there was less buffeting at the helmet. I put the wing on it because I tend to take longer trips and lately been on more highways and faced some bad weather. It worked fine but I'm not convinced the wing made a huge difference. It definitely helped but I decided I needed a bit more screen in front of me see page 39 for the link to the Motomachines tall Ermax. I'm pretty sure no matter what you choose it will be better than the stock one. Good luck... Retrying picture
  20. Hey man, I see that you've been using an MRA screen with the spoiler. I'm the same dimensions as you, so it would really help if you give me detailed feedback - how's the wind buffeting and noise? How much improvement over stock? Which areas does it redirect wind to? Thanks in advance! I really liked that MRA especially here in south Florida. 22. Other than the Mount Trash-mores It is the one of highest points in SOFLA...
