I just have to make sure I have the special tool(s): Pivot shaft wrench, frame spanner socket, and frame mount insert wrench, if in fact these are required.
In my experience, they are most definitely required. Some odd castle nuts buried deep in the frame can be a real PITA to get to.

I'd be looking at the valves, seals and guides as others have mentioned.

I don't do track days, but have some friends who do at Heartland Park in Topeka. It ain't a Tally or Barber though!!!
IMO, Heartland is better than Tally but not as good as Barber.
That being said, I missed my opportunity to ride Heartland, but did study it intently. I'm very familiar with both Tally and Barber though.

I just got a 2019 Tracer GT, picked it up Sept 25, 2021. I am upgrading the suspension and brakes over the winter. Once that is done, I will be at track days once a month in 2022. I suspect Road Atlanta will be somewhat boring on the Tracer, but TGP, Barber, and NCM should all be fun tracks for the tracer. If time and money allows might do a weekend at Jennings. I like that track, just a long drive so need to afford the time/money to do both days
Be sure to post up, I'm sure we'll cross paths at some point, especially if you ride with STT.

I was there Saturday on the GSXR. I saw the Tracer, thought it might've been you Al! I meant to go find them and chat, but I never got around to it.

😵 Any major problems or rebuilds?
From what I remember, no. Just regular maintenance.
I don't want to speak for OldDawg though.

How does the quality and longevity of suzuki compare to Yamaha? I briefly owned a DL 650 and it seemed like a simple but durable motorcycle.
Suzuki & Honda (IMO) are the most reliable of the Japanese brands. Which is saying something.

@Grumpy GoatI did some not well maintained fire roads on my FJ. 100% street tires, Angel ST's I think. In dry conditions it's fine. Skid plate is certainly required for anything even remotely off pavement. Otherwise, the ergos are fine. Suspension is a little harsh, so I stood up most of the time. The rear ABS is annoying, but the front ABS is nice. You should be just fine doing some light offroading.

I've taken the FJ09, the K1200GT, the cruise ship ST1100, my trusty SV650, and the FJ1200 on this road. They've all been enjoyable in different ways, even the land barges. But the road has deteriorated so much in the past few years that now it's just sketchy and dangerous in parts.
Yeah, a SM would be right at home, as would the KLR Anvil. Those would be spot on for what it's become.
Gotcha, bummer it's deteriorated so badly.
I actually rode the SM to work today. Was thinking about how I'm at the wrong Knoxville for this bike haha!
