  1. Sorry but everyone that hates 3 wheels is a old man who hates anything new. Pull the sticks out of your ass, and get with the times. 3 wheels (outside the nike low numbers) are helping float the failing motorcycle industry in the usa. Look at sales numbers. Brp just launch the Stryker line. Do think they would launch a mass production vechile(im motorcycle terms) with out some research. I live on miles and miles of gravel roads. More roads in this world are not paved than are. And most of the paved roads in the usa are crap and old. Most of the usa (and a good part of the world)has to put there bikes away for the winter season because of road conditions are t safe for 2 wheels. 3 wheels would allow alot more ppl to ride throughout the year. Making a viable mode of transport for more ppl since more contact patch and more stability means a safer ride. With autonomous vechiles coming in the near future(less than a decade), 2 wheels wont be around much longer. A 3 wheel vechile is able to be made nearly 100% autonomous now. 2 wheel will almost never be. multiple Cameras, sensors, vehicle id becons, top down 360 views, not falling over at a stop, controlled braking in emergency situations in bad weather or bad road control are just a few of many issues 2 wheels face for autonomy. Then you have the whole physically disabled bunch( amputees, diseases, age, etc) with a population of over 300 million in the usa there are more ppl than ever who cant have 2 wheels but want something close. Im seriously considering a niken gt right now. But im young and never gave a shit about style and other ppl opinions
  2. Well talked to the dealer, they said the brake light from Yamaha is on back order till may 16th. So wonder if it no a common issue and they have a new part to replace the old one that failed.
  3. Called the Yamaha shop closest to me(over 1hr away). They ordered the part, they should have it next week. Been wanting to add a second brake light on my top box, just havent ordered one yet.
  4. Noticed the other day that my brake light seems off, looked at it today and saw that some of the leds in the brake light are out. Seems odd. So i guess i need to take it in for a warranty claim. Wonder how that works at a different dealership than i bought it. I havent done any electrical mods of than factory Yamaha fj09 heated grips.
  5. I have ridden fully naked bikes in 10° and colder weather with no heated anything. When I was a little younger. Im getting softer as I get older. Im only 33. I work outside. So I'm already layer up. I have tried wired gear before. Im over it. I dont want to deal with wires any more. Thanks for the suggestion I also wont ride in under 30° weather anymore. To many low sides with ice on the road. The water from a rain will run across the road during the day and freeze over night here in indiana quite abit. I may get a battery powered vest though. I were a vest when working quite a bit it does help to have your core warm. Might see about the dewalt jacket and cut the sleeves off .I have a ton of dewlat cordless batteries.
  6. Road in 39° weather this friday morning. (Was a high of 86° Tuesday) The new givi touring windscreen and handgaurd covers work well in 50° not so much under 40°. Need to order those heated grips. And get a heated seat too.
  7. Thanks. The link in my last post is the exact location. It is strait west of Indianapolis, indiana. Almost to terre haute. Just south west of moorse lake reservoir. Not far south of u.s. 36
  8. here is the bridge in the pic here a video riding through it here is deers mill bridge
  9. Did a really long lunch today. This the Mansfield roller mill. It is the main area for the cover bridge festival. https://goo.gl/maps/5EZKyLFkeHF2 Took this with my dji mavic air drone( the drone was over the water). If you look up from the water wheel you can see my bike by the railing. Next challenge: Your bike in or close by a covered bridge. there are covered bridges in nearly ever part of the world. (I think)
  10. Put a tank through the bike tonight 2 up for the first time. Got a baby sitter for the night. Got dinner in a different county and ice cream in another.
  11. I installed my helibars risers. Got a givi d2122s on order. Will see when it arrives. I did remove the factory hand guards. It helped with wind buffeting. Probably not install hand guards till the screen comes in and i can measure for new ones.
  12. Thanks. That is the answer I was looking for.
  13. Well after my failed trip, I have come to realize the stock screen is useless. Also would like some handle bar risers. Thinking the helibars just cause color match, but will see. Since the factory hand guards are so big. If the were up higher would the interfer with the large aftermarket screens that have cut outs for the guards? Or will it no be an issue? Wondering if anybody has experience with this?
  14. Got her home and unloaded. Left at sunrise got back in time for sunset. Long day of driving hrs to get her today.
