Well nuts are not required there. The madstad bracket uses the existing threaded holes for the oem sliding bracket. Hope that helps

thanks! been on the 20" for about 1 year now. really clean wind.

been on their shield on my previous nc700x for close to 5 years. Madstad is the choice of quality shields for me. :)

  2. Charges my my samsung phones with quick/fast charging when connected to the original port on the left hand side of the bike.

Does not blow the 2A fuse. But only use any 1 port at a time.

Very snug fit. Tried it up to about 160-170km/h constantly for 1.5hrs and it will not run loose.

The only part that will come loose is where the USB cable connects. But its fine.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a Madstad for my Tracer. How stable is the GPS mounted up there? Any significant vibration or shaking while riding?

It is very stable. i have my ram x mount there and it holds my samsung s7 very well. v.minimal vibration. I'm sure its the same for the GPS.

Ok I see what's happened here.  Your question @quaxum was whether the tools would slot into the underside of the passenger seat like the OEM one does - correct?  I was attempting to answer that question with my reply.  The only unknown is whether the later models are configured similarly and I'm assuming they are but I put it out there for those that have your model to respond.

Hope that clarifies what I meant. 🙂

    Cheers

    Yea! Thanks and cheers mate!

No is the short answer..... but I managed to put those in with the OEM tool pouch anyway. Not a deal breaker IMHO.

Here's a photo of the underside of the seats: -

N.B. This is the seat for a 2015 Tracer.  I assume?? that this is the same situation for later models... anyone?

Nope. The 2018-onwards will not fit the older models. vice-versa. But thanks!

Get on and order one, quax!   There WAS an issue with early Tracer BAGSTER seats collecting wetness (rain, hosing, etc) but they quickly picked up on that and the foams now are encased in thin but adequate plastic.   I never had any moisture matters....

Just one more question, does the pillion seat come with the slots for u to put the tools like the stock seat?

@quaxum as I said earlier, the Bagster is a big improvement over the stock seat for me. I didn't feel like I was constantly sliding into the fuel tank like I did with the stock seat. I think the cover material  on the Bagster offers a lot more grip than the stock seat, so that helps a lot. When I received  the seat I did a 250mi ride and I never felt like my butt was sore like I did with the stock seat. I have no idea how the bultex seat is as my seat is the stock seat that Chromeburners sells.

Thank you for the clarification. About to pull the trigger on the cheaper version that chromeburner is selling. But can't make up my mind between the bultex or the cheaper ones without the bultex. btw if you have any pictures of it do post them up! thanks once again!

Yeah, I am not loving it and will be sending it back and look for better options. I will use the one they made for me until then. The comfort seat is better than oem but Sargent is slightly better than comfort. Here are some pics of the sargent seat they made which does say FJ-09 on the underside.

Is this in the high seat position?

    To the madstad users:

In your expierencr what makes the madstad resolve the buffeting and noise? Is it the adjustable angle? Is it the extra 2 windows at the sides?

Fact that the wind can also get under the screen? Not creating a vacume??

I just got my second seat from Sargent. This is the one they made so far on today's commute it felt better than the one they made from my oem seat. I also only ordered the rider seat but they sent me both. With that said I would be willing to let go of the first one I got You can see the pictures of it earlier on this thread. I also have a comfort seat as well. LMK.

How does it compare to the ori yammie comfort seats?

Well, you just beat me to it! Ordered the same seat today, but with "Tracer GT" written on the backseat.

Got it cheaper though, with a discount and no shipping fee. Not by ebay, but direct from the store. Order today, receive it tomorrow, advantage of living in the Chromeburner country 😀.

Do upload pics of it 😊👍

I have one of the first Sargents and I’d give it a 9/10 for everyday riding and a 5/10 for twisties.
I took a 600 mile ride last Saturday and Sunday to the mountains. The ride up there and back was wonderful. I never felt the need to shift around while slabbing up and back. Once in the curvy roads is a different story though. Each time I’d slow to set up for a turn, I’d slide right up every time. Granted a part of that is the material they use vs the OEM material is “slicker” with my Roadcrafter. It wasn’t horrible once I got used to it but annoying nonetheless.
I’ve reached out to Sargent and my contact there said they had heard similar from others already and to give him a week and he might have a solution. I’m in agreement with another that if they add 1/2” to the front, it will be much better, creating a pocket of sorts.

    Here’s a picture of mine.

Also, dk if anyone noticed. this seems to be their ori version of the seat. It looks like its better optimized for the GT. dk why they changed the design. Anyone can talk to sargent about it?

Pic is not mine. Saw it on Tracer Gt Thread on ADVrider i think. Credits to the owner.
