  1. That was my first thing I tried when the seat didn’t snap into place. I replaced the stock rubber bushings, the stock 4 bolts to mount the bracket, and removed the 3D printed spacers. After getting it back to stock there was still no latching into place. I’ll try and make contact with Corbin again tomorrow since they did not answer my online inquiry or return my voicemail today.
  2. Probably, but it didn’t help any with it removed. It would have been nice for just a brief instruction sheet. Ex, remove seat height adjuster, inset seat tab into lower (upper) slot, etc. I tried again today with three family members helping and giving suggestions. None of us could figure it out.
  3. Forgot to mention that I did try calling, but Corbin was closed as it was 4:30ish. I left a message and also sent them a message online. I’m going to Disneyland Monday with my sister and others, so might not get a chance till Tuesday to get phone help from them.
  4. The rear just sits on its own rubber pads. I tried the front in both the upper and lower slot. I tried the H shaped plastic thing in both positions, and even tried removing it altogether. No go any way. I will have some time I think Sunday to play with it some more. Post how you make out Wednesday.
  5. Well, I got it but I can’t lock it in place. It looks really nice on the bike, but even with me sitting on the seat it will not snap into place to where I need the key to remove it. I can basically just lift it right off. For now I put the stock seat back on.
  6. I’ve had 3 Corbins. All of them were comfortable and extended my saddle time. I did install the 3D printer spacer kit first and have it on now with the stock seat. That did help significantly with the saddle forward tilt issue with the seat. My plan when I receive the Corbin, is to install it with the kit in place just to see what it’s like. If that doesn’t work well I’ll put the stock rubber pieces back and remove the kit.
  7. It looks like that is the one I bought for my ‘21. It didn’t work without some modifications of the clamps that hold the brake line for me. I had to fiddle with the clamps down the entire brake line to get enough slack to where I wasn’t pulling hard on the lines. The problem as I saw it was there is a little post that the newer tracer has that doesn’t allow you to rotate the stay like the instructions call for. I think the outcome was okay. Perhaps I did something wrong, so I’d like to hear from others that use this.
  8. When you say platform do you mean they are good to go as highway pegs, or you attach highway pegs to the sliders? I would assume #1, but wanted to be sure.
  9. The front turn signals are pretty fragile. I thought I broke one as it just kept coming loose and flopping around. I finally really looked at how the good side was seated and properly seated my floppy one and it’s been holding in place for a couple months. I think my problem started when I knocked mine loose just bumping into it walking around the garage. I try and be more careful now.
  10. I recently read someone on the GW forum say that if you give the factory seat enough time, it will break in. If it’s working for you, don’t replace it. It’s freakin a thousand dollars or so to go with a Corbin, Ultimate, or a little cheaper, RDL. If you’re doing a really long trip and need a little help you could always do an Airhawk or similar. I do miss the factory seat being controlled with the GW buttons and seeing the settings on the dash. My Corbin has a switch on the side since I got the cooling feature too. I do wonder sometimes when people say a seat gets more comfortable in time, how much is due to the seat changing, and how much is due to our butt changing 😜. Good review BTW! Living the dream! PS, If you don’t have the latest GW with the larger trunk, you can add the Corbin color matched trunk lid. I did that, and also did the larger doors on the side bags.
  11. I have a 2018 DCT Goldwing Tour. I couldn’t get used to the factory seat, so replaced it with a Corbin. It was an expensive upgrade, but worth it. For an 800 pound bike it sure does feel light. I’m still trying to get comfortable on my ‘21 Tracer 9 GT. Hoping the Corbin seat that I ordered will make a big difference. I repositioned the handle bars a bit with heli bars recently, but still not very comfortable on the Tracer. I like the idea of having sport tour bikes on the opposite ends of the weight spectrum.
  12. https://japan.webike.net/ When I registered I got a coupon for about $8 which I used successfully. Sorry I couldn’t post a link to the actual part, but that didn’t seem to work for some reason. It’s easy to find though using their search function. I couldn’t get a successful order using my credit card, but PayPal went through with no problem.
  13. So I have been waiting for almost 6 months for this part. Monday I decided to try a source in Japan. It cost me about $40 to ship, but I had it by Thursday (4 days). Just finished mounting and since everything is correct I thought I’d share the source.
  14. I ordered mine last week. I’ll also post what I think when I receive it.
  15. Corbin now has a seat for the ‘21. I’ll post a review when I receive it.
  16. A short story to emphasize the why risk it now thought. I have a friend that retired right before I did. He paid off his house which meant he didn’t have to carry insurance on the house anymore. He dropped the insurance since he was selling soon to move out of state. A short while later we had a big fire here called The Bobcat Fire and burned his house to the ground. He lost nearly everything except a small storage shed that was filled with some belongings.
  17. I’ve been waiting 6 months now for the Yamaha plate 😵‍💫
  18. I just saw a FB post about using the risers on a ‘21. I just ordered and going to give them a try. Thanks Korak!
  19. PS, I actually contacted them twice over a few months and they made that free seat offer both times. The second time was the chat function. I recalled after thinking about it a bit. With Bagster or anyone else not having a seat I’ll bet whoever is first is going to get some sales right away. I know I’ll open up my wallet.
  20. Might be worth a phone call. They seemed very eager to get a bike on loan. VERY eager. Unfortunately I can’t remember who I talked to. I seem to remember an online chat function too. I would love it if someone can do this. I am hundreds of miles away unfortunately. They have a ride in program too for seats already available where they customize to your liking. I would assume this would be the same except it’s not same day ride in/ride out.
  21. For those that don’t know, … I called Corbin months ago. They need a 21 for a couple weeks. You get a free seat for your troubles. They will not ride your MC. They will however sit on it a lot. I hope someone gets the word who has a 21 or 22 up in that area. They are in Hollister California.
  22. I went through something similar with a car years ago. I upgraded the suspension and bought some other goodies and ended up trading it in anyway for what I wanted.
