  1. I went back to that link and the magic of the internt gave me English interpretation. Thanks.
  2. Petshark, that stand is different in that the side to the left that would face away from the bike is thicker than the side to the right. That wedge shape would correct the toe in the air problem some cited earlier. That it the problem that make the bike feel unstable when you put weight on the foot peg. Shows Yamaha knows about the issue. A little more metal on the end of the bike stand also could take care of that instability at least on solid ground like my garage floor. Thanks for posting that image. Wish I could read German (?) NONE of the aftermarket foot plates I see on the 'net are that wedge shaped and why they all still give that nose in the air.
  3. Seems to me from the factory and after dealer prep nuts and bolts ought to me securely fastened and the spec torque applied. But hey, we get to replace the stuff that falls off. If they aren't going to do that then at least blue locktite the stuff. I've been lucky to get 5 new bikes over the years and the screws on bar end weights are usually secure, but not always.
  4. My bike is brand new with a total of 4 miles on the odometer. It's really crappy weather so I'm going over the bike checking everything I can get to without disassembly. The loise bar end screws have to be dealer assembly of a new bike. Rarely do I use red loctite, those screws got blue. Just passing along a heads up. Farkling continues. I had 3 bikes not too long ago each with specific kits. Now I'm sorting duplicate tools and misc from each into 1for the Tracer.
  5. I lost that screw and end wts on my f800gt bmw and my wee strom 650 even though I checked them regularly. Both were lost in WY headed to MT. I'll locktite them just because. Thx for your reply.
  6. Weather has been crap since I got my '20 tracer 900GT home. Been going over it, added SAE connector for Battery Tender and what ever else works there, added Tourmaster heated gear connector, side stand foot expander (not sure I like yet). and have some other things on the way. Need to stop spending for awhile! Going over bolts and screws I found the bar end weight screws barely finger tight. Think I'll apply some red locktite and check them when riding with heated grips on. My local dealer had this bike earlier but sold it I thought when it didn't show on inventory. Today though they had the bike in stock on the floor. And they had a sold FJ-09 '15 on the floor marked sold. Had I seen that earlier I may have bought it, no blemishes anywhere, no idea of mileage but I bet low. Oh well. Anyway, CHECK YOU SCREWS!
  7. Some do, some don't. Good for you. I'm not a newby rider, unfamiliar with riding all types of surfaces over 65 years. So.........
  8. The reason I ask what bike is I went to the web site and the model # listed is Tracer 700. Kept searching and the foot for the '20 Tracer 900GT is $42.09 with delivery April 6-27 from Uncle tiger - US, but it must be coming from overseas somewhere like China maybe.
  9. What is your bike, 2020 tracer 900GT?
  10. For me, the stand seems too short and angled wrong on my level garage floor. Of course slope of the ground affects how stable the bike is.
  11. 3 bmw's the foot extension was solely for soft ground or asphalt. Hooking with foot on any bike has never been an issue. It's length, and angle to me.
  12. Those foot extensions help marginally, and have gotten ridiculously $$$$$.
  13. I've had lots of different brand bikes. This Yammy stand is poorly positioned, seems too short in my opinion making the Tracer very unstable. Bet some engineer saved $.12 by tis design. What say you inmates?!
  14. Dealers use them, and you see by relpirs most owners do too.
  15. I'd take it to a dealer and let them figure it out rather than get a bunch of guesses from us mouth breathers who won't know.
  16. Oh yea, pissing on someone elses helmet. What great fun! Sure would like to catch some A H in the act.
  17. I've never had anything stolen off my bike when stopped for any reason over 60 yrs of riding. Actually, same goes for any campsite isolated or at a rally with 700+ attendees/campers. Awful long time to just be lucky. As for hauling bev samples I have seen milk crates lashed on tail rack. 🤭
  18. Thx, had similar small issue with other bikes I've lowered. The atracer sidestand really is not good.
  19. Thx, yes, that makes a big difference Why Yam made it so short and positioned where it is who knows.
  20. Thx for the info/suggestion. This is my 1st Yamaha in 63 yrs riding. Really hard to find them in my area and nobody can order them. May look for tail rack and dig thru my shelves of unused stuff amassed of the years.
  21. I understand the impacts of lowering links, side stands may be too tall, center stands difficult to use, etc. The Tracer side stand on my 2 day new to me 2020 Tracer 900GT is ridiculously short making it very close to the bike and lean angle uncomfortable. I do use the foot pegs to mount the bike. I have spent time searching for links and stands but other than some place in Great Britain, no luck. Where are you guys getting those items from or are they victims of the covid crap, hence not available. Appreciate any help. Thanks.
