  1. Congrats on the new bike. Check out my thread on windscreens: https://www.tracer900.net/topic/10202-paralyzed-by-windshield-choices…/
  2. Shoei RF1200. I've thought of trying a modular helmet since I wear glasses, but they all seem like attaching a music system is a real PITA unless you go with one of the purpose-built ones. When I retire the RF1200 I'll probably go with an RF1400.
  3. Been thinking about this more lately and it makes sense. Now looking at this mount: https://www.ebay.com/itm/173834500261
  4. Test #4... I had a bunch of Amazon gift card money so I decided to try a Puig touring... Absolutely awful. Blocks any kind of cooling breeze while simultaneously causing buffeting/turbulence at city speeds, increasing in intensity at highway speeds. It's probably on par with the awfulness of the OEM touring screen. Glad it was basically free... It's hot as balls around here lately so the Puig shorty is back on. I need a pit crew so I can do hot laps around town and have the screen switched out quickly to see what works the best back to back...
  5. Kevlar lined riding jeans. I think they’re Speed & Strength, or something like that, slim fit. They’re hot as shit in the summer. Been thinking of trying to find some mesh pants that breathe better. Trying to find riding pants is a giant PITA. Regular fit are almost always way too baggy, and most slim fit are too tight. I should see if I can find a place to send a pair of my Brave Star jeans for some Kevlar patches in the proper place.
  6. Wow. That’s kind of messed up. So how do you change the grips if you need to then? Ill give the lites Beemer Buddies a try, thanks.
  7. I’ve never had a bike with heated grips before. What all is involved with changing the grips on the 2020 GT? I want something a little cushier than stock. I added Grip Puppies but they’re a little TOO big and aggravate an old left thumb injury.
  8. This is the mount I'm looking at: https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/sw-motech-vibration-damped-handlebar-clamp-gps-mount?sku_id=1761500 Looks like it would make good use of the space right in the middle of the bar clamps and put the GPS just below the instrument cluster.
  9. Test #3 complete. Puig shorty/sport screen. Best looking of everything I've tried yet, especially in black. Performance-wise, obviously it blocks the least amount of wind, but at least it's clean. No turbulence/buffeting at the helmet level. If I lived in the Desert Southwest, this is the one I would keep on all the time. As it stands, I'll keep the MRA touring on and save the Puig shorty if I take any day trips in the heat. I do not plan on trying any more, but if a used Puig or V-Stream touring came up at a good price, I might be tempted.
  10. Too ugly and too expensive for me. Looks like it probably works pretty good though.
  11. I'll never own a (street) bike without cruise control again.
  12. Test #2 complete. Bought the MRA touring screen. Managed to lose one of the plastic washers so I had to source a replacement from my local Runnings. Unfortunately it's white instead of black... I did not install the rim strip. What a giant PITA... Success. This screen works really good for me. Too bad it looks so goofy with the curve. Strangely, opposite of the stock screen, the MRA touring works better in the top position. Zero turbulence/buffeting, just clean wind starting about shoulder height. I get a little turbulence in the lower position but it might just be wind noise as I had a different pair of ear plugs in. One more to test...
  13. Got the Evotech installed tonight. Looks good and should be cheap insurance.
  14. You're braver than I am. Same problem here but I don't think I'll be taking mine apart.
  15. I have Pazzo shorties and yes, they work with the factory cruise control. Part #'s are F-16/V-4A. ProGear Industries is the US distributor. They ship quick too.
  16. Man, that's too bad. Hope everything turns out alright for them.
  17. OK, good to know. I'm not in any hurry and planned on sending mine in over the winter. Just hadn't heard back so I wasn't sure.
  18. Is he still in business? Tried sending him a couple of emails but haven’t heard back. Understandable if he’s super busy building seats but does anyone know how long it usually takes to hear back?
  19. Anyone running a radiator guard? I’ve never had a bike with one before but the radiator on this seems a little low. Might be cheap insurance? Anyone ever suffer a puncture?
