  1. Seat is in the high position. https://imgur.com/a/RpVATF9
  2. Got the kit installed tonight. This thing seems LEGIT!!! Didn’t get to go for a ride (hopefully tomorrow) but it seems to make a NOTICEABLE improvement to the seat slope.
  3. Got my kit today. Hoping to get some time maybe Sunday to install it. Can’t wait!
  4. Saw that kit on another thread and ordered one the other night. Can’t wait to try it. Had no idea you were a member here but should have figured.
  5. Similarly, I don’t use 6th gear until I hit a cruising speed of 65mph.
  6. Selling off some accessories I tried out but didn't like. First up is a Puig touring windscreen in smoke. Tried it for one short ride, didn't like it. Excellent condition - factory sticker is even still attached. Comes with all hardware. Retails for ~$135. $100 shipped, CONUS only. Pictures here: https://imgur.com/a/szbMGeY OEM touring screen no longer available Next up is a Yamaha OEM touring screen. Same thing, tried it for one short ride, didn't like it. Excellent condition. Comes with all hardware. Retails for $179.99. $125 shipped, CONUS only. Thanks for looking!
  7. Ron Ayers has lids listed for just under $400 each but that’s still $800 for just the lids. A big-ass tail bag is only $100. I know which one I chose.
  8. Interesting. That’s a pretty spendy solution for a slight increase in capacity.
  9. I’ve got one of those on the way. Hope I get it soon! This is a much better solution than the brackets that go behind the windscreen.
  10. Not sure I’ve ever seen this asked or mentioned, but are there any larger side cases that fit the stock mounting system?
  11. Agreed. I like close to zero throttle free play. Clutch too.
  12. My next ride I’ll test out the Givi sport screen. Might try the MRA sport screen too.
  13. OK, so what the heck is up with this? Went for my first real (I’ve been on night shift) ride yesterday with the MRA touring screen. Out of town, curves, hills, countryside, etc. First thought was, “Why is this so loud?” I could barely hear my music. Decided to do some experimenting today and did the same ride with the stock screen. I’ll be damned if it wasn’t quieter. More turbulent, but quieter and it was easier to hear my music.
  14. I think Chromeburner might have a blue one. I ordered a silver one from them through eBay but they made a mistake and it was out of stock. Ended up ordering the plain ready model and I think it might be worse than stock. 🥲
  15. The mount won’t fit on my bars. 🥲 U-bolt isn’t long enough. Got a windscreen adjuster mount on the way and then I’ll see when my mechanic can get to it.
  16. It’s super easy to do and well worth it. I ordered OEM FJR1300 parts online.
  17. Good to know. I can’t believe how low the battery capacity is on the Zumo XT. 😔
  18. I don’t do electrics. If I wanted to run a GPS before I take the bike in to my local mechanic to have a GPS hardwired to the ignition circuit, can I charge a Zumo XT off the power plug while the bike is running without any problems?
  19. Oh, don’t worry, I brought all my gear just in case. My wife snuck this pic while I was test sitting on it on the dealership floor.
  20. Me too. Best one I’ve tried. I’m toying with the idea of trying the MRA sport screen.
  21. That looks really good. I just might be sending mine off to him when it comes time to put the bike away for the season.
  22. Windscreens are absolutely worth it, in my opinion. The problem is finding the right one for YOU.
