  1. I traded in my 21 Tracer 9GT for the 24 gt+ and took a chance that my Givi luggage would fit. It fits perfect. The Rack for the 21-22 will fit the 24. I have the v56 Monokey top case. It will fit 2 full size modular helmets, it is huge. See photo. Good luck. I am sure you will have enough luggage space with the Givi.
  2. I got both recall letters yesterday. Of course, I just had my bike in for service last month and asked about the recall but just got quizzical looks and a shrug. Cmon, you can’t keep up with your own product? I’m sure it’s because they are waiting for the official word from Yamaha, so that they get paid.
  3. I got these for my 21 Tracer. Heli only had the risers for the 2019-20 900Gt at that time, but these fit perfect. HR09146. I did not have to change any cables. For the 21-22 9Gt they are selling an adapter. I did not need that as i just adjusted the brake elbow down. They did not come back enough for me. $ 80.00 includes shipping CONUS only.
  4. About 2 months ago. Steve took 10 days to build. He would remember me. I would call him. He is very good at communication.
  5. I tried the same thing you did to your seat but still had the tendency to slide forward. Steve fixed all that, no sliding forward, seat is taller for my long legs and is much more comfortable. Steve can put any color stitching that you desire.
  6. Sorry about the link, fixed it. Turnaround time about 1 week. Steve can do both driver and passenger seat. The Tracer driver seat cost $550.
  7. A shout out and thumbs up to Steve Going who reupholstered and modified my OEM seat. I originally was waiting for Russell day long to schedule me, but Steve had the time and was less expensive. Seat is one inch higher, which helps my 36 inch inseam, flatter- no more sliding into the tank, wider, and so much more comfortable. I took my bike for a 30 minute ride and noticed right away that I found the solution to the horrible OEM seat. Steve is a one man outfit, will text and call you about your exact needs, plus he's a super nice guy. Check out his website. stevegowing.com
  8. I would love and look forward to having it on a future purchase. Droning along the highways for 6-7 hours and having to turn off cruise due to slower traffic, then turning it back on for a couple of miles only to turn it on and off again is fatiguing physically and mentally. I want to enjoy the ride, the scenery, the experience. Some are saying ACC will cause driver distraction. What, I’m going to play video games? Start texting? Calling all my friends? Sorry, I’m old school, fully suited up, properly concentrating on my surroundings and hopefully one day enjoying a technology that lets me soak up the experience even better!
  9. Yes, I would ask Corbin to see if they can provide a higher seat.
  10. Took a 1600 mile trip to the Smokey Mountains and the Tail of the Dragon. First half of the trip used an Air Hawk along with the Corbin seat. 2 hours was enough time in the saddle before I had to start squirming. The Smokey Mountains and the return trip home used the Corbin alone. A better ride because I could now use the entire seat to slide up and back. The seat is hard and in about 2 1/2 hours it was time for relief. I did not wear bike shorts this trip, which I may try next trip. I am still going to order the Russell Day long. Overall the Corbin is much better than stock, I have it in the high setting with the Seat Slope MOD installed. So, no sliding forward into the tank. For me personally, I still need a taller seat as my 36 inch inseam causes knee issues.
  11. https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/tcx-hero-wp-boots?rrec=true Worn only twice. Very comfortable, waterproof. $175 plus shipping.
  12. I have a pair of the TCX Hero boots for sale. Size EU 46 US 12. $ 175 plus shipping. Only worn a couple of times. I went with the TCX Fuel bigger boots, which work better for me. I will post the sale in for sale items. https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/tcx-hero-wp-boots?rrec=true
  13. Corbin seat arrived, perfect condition, correct color. I had already put back the shims/spacers for added front uplift. I put the seat in the front upper slot and could see it was lined up with the keyed frame bracket, but would not attach. Thanks to TCLHB, I added 3 washers to the seat bracket and heard the click of attachment. The seat does move slightly side to side and as you can see in the pictures there is a gap especially up front, however I am not that picky and comfort is the goal here. My short test drive does confirm some of what TCLHB was saying. One difference, wearing jeans, I did not have the issue of sliding forward into the tank, which must be because of the added spacers. The seat is hard, harder than stock, but I expected this and will take time to break in. The seat does feel lower to me, maybe because of the scooped out area. The seating position does naturally bring you back further from the handlebars, into a neutral state, however I do have helibars risers which helps, and at times I found my arms locked, because it feels good to be back in the pocket of the seat. Otherwise this is my only complaint. I don't believe I can bring the handlebars back any further without cable extensions. Overall the Corbin is better than stock especially with the 3D spacer/shims, I did not slide forward at stops. I am taking a long trip next week and will report back further on the comfort level.
  14. Thank you, and thank you for the picture. I will let you and members know how it goes for me and then the test drive! I really hope it is more comfortable and helps my 6' 4' inch frame and 36 inch inseam be a bit taller seat.
  15. Looks great! Is that the Yamaha topbox? I got the Givi and after the same washer bracket issue, it now locks and comes off fine. Just to be clear- You added washers to the bracket on the frame that the key works off of, correct? Or are you talking about the bracket on the seat itself?
  16. https://corbin.com/troubleshooting.shtml Guess I have some shimming to do, along with spraying lube and slamming the seat around.
  17. OMG! This sounds as if they sent you the wrong seat. Why would you have to adjust the bracket if they manufactured it to fit perfect?? For the price Corbin had better look at their process since each seat is handmade, however the seat pan should be universal for the Tracer. I get mine tomorrow, not looking forward to messing around with washers and bracket adjustment.
  18. I took the spacers out of my seat and put it back to stock. I’m hoping that will place the Corbin in the right position as I would think they tested it on a stock tracer 9gt?
  19. I just got notice that mine will be here Wednesday. Curious if you tried the upper and lower front slots? Does the front lip fit in the slot? Does the rear portion go into the slot where the original rear pillion goes? i also have the seat slope mod installed.
  20. Corbin has come out with a seat for the Tracer 9 GT. It is one piece, I spoke to them and the seat comes either standard, which would fit into the high position, or low. Corbin stated that the seat is more neutral in slope and should alleviate the horrible slide forward. I am ordering one and it should take about 4-5 weeks lead time. I will post pictures and a review once I receive it.
  21. +1 on the Woodcraft sliders. Easy install, standard size.
  22. I had Sargent Customize my seat. Takes awhile, but now with Covid receding it might be closer to 4 weeks than the original 6-7. They have a form on their website. Dane and Cindy are great people to work with and you can call them weekly to check on the progress of your seat. It is not perfect but much better than stock. I no longer slide into the tank and I can stay in the saddle longer.
  23. If you feel you want the bars closer, I would get the heli bars. Very easy to put on, no worries about cable length. They make a big difference in reach.
  24. Get the shortest version. You will have to play around with it. Sometimes for more protection I have to look through the screen. I like the Madstad because you can raise and lower but also angle the screen.
  25. Windshields for Tracer 9GT- 1. Cal-Sci- As I explained in a previous post, I had high hopes for this one- my first- due to the hole in the screen to allow airflow and possible less buffeting. It was not to be and in traffic considerably worse. Returned 2. Yamaha touring screen- better than stock but again at speed the turbulence and buffeting remained. Returned 3. National Cycle V stream- not specifically for the 9GT- made for the 900, but fits perfect, however no matter the height, the buffeting and turbulence was unrelenting. Returned 4. Madstad- my current test. They just came out with this one for the 9GT. Expensive and the reason is they supply a whole new bracket system and height adjustment knobs. Very well made. You have to remove the current windshield bracket, 3 screws, be careful, I stripped the last one because the metal is so soft and had to cut it. No biggie as you do not need them to put on the Madstad bracket. The instructions are clear, however there is no parts diagram, so figuring out the differing sets of screws was a challenge. Blair at Mastad was a great help and made sure I was confident with installation. Multiple adjustments, height wise and angle. I started with straight up in the lowest position. Still some buffeting body wise but my head was clear. Im going to try different heights and angles to try and get my favorite position. Word of caution- you must stop the bike to make any adjustments, you cannot adjust on the fly.
