ilanr1
Hi , i replaced my front shocks with Adreanni. The seller advice me to use Ohlins fork oil with 19 cst rate. What is the equivalence to a normal W rate for this 19cst value... Thanks
ilanr1
From my search , every manufacturer is making it's own oil and then specify it. Motul 5W = 18 CST... What is the regular fork oil that we need to use for a stock fork ?.
Premium Member 2and3cylinders Posted February 9, 2022 Premium Member Share Posted February 9, 2022 With my massaged fork dampening and heavier .95 Springs, I used 16 CST at 40C. Seems to work well.

OZVFR
If you look up “comparative fork oil viscosity” on the interweb, you will find lists of many brands and their weight so you can find one that you can buy locally.

The nice thing with changing fork oil is you can vary the viscosity to suit your needs. Since the compression damping is non-adjustable, you can alter the damping characteristics with a higher or lower viscosity. Lower viscosity is thinner and offers a faster fork travel, higher viscosity is thicker and offers a slower fork travel. The rebound damping is adjustable for any increase or decrease of viscosity you make. 2 ***2015 Candy Red FJ-09***
