zeroxysm
Hey, I recently purchased a Kriega US50 Combo which I have attached to my bike already. I have a tent, a bedroll, and another little bag that I need to attach to that. What would be the best way to go about that? Thanks for any help.[span] [/span]
Premium Member fanowater Posted August 1, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted August 1, 2015 Yamaha sells a rear rack that might work for you. https://www.shopyamaha.com/product/details/fj-09-rear-rack?b=Street+Motorcycle&d=28|28&f=2015|235 I assume the aftermarket has versions too. zeroxysm
Sorry, I guess my opening post might have been a tad bit confusing. I already have the Kriega 50US attached to my bike on there, I just need to attach some things onto that. Should I just use nylon straps, bungee cords? Premium Member 1moreroad Posted August 1, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted August 1, 2015 Rok straps with a bungee net as a backup.
scotto
Bungee cords are your best bet. Over the years I have accumulated about 30 of them in all different sizes. I've always found that different lengths and strengths in pairs works the best.
Premium Member fanowater Posted August 1, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted August 1, 2015 Nylon straps or bungees should work fine. Cheers 2015 FJ-09 2006 Triumph Daytona
pixlox
Make sure the ends of the straps or bungees are plastic not metal covered otherwise they will wear through and cause damage to your bike.

Cheers I can't find a rear rack (OEM or aftermarket) anywhere. Everyone is showing "back ordered" or "call for availability". Yamaha pushed my delivery back to 9/2, and I ordered mine with my bike on 6/20.

I also like the Euro rack much better than the US version. See what you think! http://yamabits.co.uk/yamaha-mt-09-tracer-steel-luggage-rack.html Good Luck! Premium Member fanowater Posted August 4, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted August 4, 2015 That is nice looking. If I could just come up with a reason to buy it. ;>) 2015 FJ-09 2006 Triumph Daytona

The local Yamaha dealer has had heated grips on back order since March. Were supposed to arrive in July, now it will be the end of august. I guess they didn't think they had a winner on their hands. 2015 FJ-09 2006 Triumph Daytona
Premium Member hooligans3 Posted August 11, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted August 11, 2015 Thanks for the info on the Euro part and the commiserating. I can get by with a tail bag until I get the parts I ordered. It's a matter of principle at this point. Cheers
