bigk1435
I recently got my ECU flashed and a few days ago I was running the bike flat out 130mph, 5th gear, ~10-10.5K rpm, on a closed course for about 1/3 mile and upon decelerating loud exhaust pops could be heard. Is this normal? Does the bike run rich in that state causing this? The bike ran totally fine, I just was not expecting exhaust popping on decel anymore since the air injection system is disabled. I have the akra Ti exhaust.
koth442
Popping out of the exhaust is normal under those circumstances. '15 FJ09

norcal616
@bigk1435 I would like to ask if you have installed block off plates on the AIS? 2012 wr250f - C-class 30+ age group 2015 fz-07- Hordpower Edition-80whp 2015 fj-09- Graves Exhaust w/Woolich tune by 2WDW @120whp
bigk1435
I have not installed block off plates because the flash tune disables the air injection solenoid which, in effect, is the electrical equivalent of installing mechanical block off plates. 2wheeldynoworks
I have not installed block off plates because the flash tune disables the air injection solenoid which, in effect, is the electrical equivalent of installing mechanical block off plates. There have been instances on other bike models of this failing due to a glitch with the bike. Can always cap the hoses off and see if it changes it.
