It's not a huge difference but it seems like the wind that comes off it is just smoother. The buffeting isn't there like with the stock screen where it smacks your head around. For $30 it was well worth it. I'll post pictures later. It seems I'd be one of only a few here who actually find the stock screen perfectly acceptable, but I have to add that I ride entirely for recreation - no commuting or whatever - and the climate here is pretty nice year-round. I mostly ride with the screen in its lowest position. I've seen the black versions of this double-bubble screen before but consider that the Tracer is dark enough already without adding further black elements, although in isolation I do quite like black (or dark smoke) screens. Like dbeau I'll give an appraisal once it's fitted, though it seems it will take a while to arrive - 2nd to 27th November! Thanks for the heads-up, dbeau. And shipping does take a while coming from China. I think it was approx 2-3 weeks. But he'll man, for 25 bucks why not. The only ones I can see are black, and it's not clear in the text if clear is an option. Even tho the cost is low I don't want to order one and find it to be black on arrival! AND, dbeau, judging by the pix the thickness of your new screen appears greater than the flimsy stock item, or is it just that it maybe has a sort-of rolled edge that's in itself a bit stouter. Although I looked with mild interest at several recent posts about the d-b screens, I didn't have any interest in buying one until I saw a pic of a clear model. The size of the FJ/ MT's screen is so large, relatively, that I thought that so much black, on top of the already rather dark (mostly) paintwork and other finishes on the bike would make it all a bit too sombre and funereal. YMMV... Hence my interest in the clear option. But I am now told that it's out-of-stock, and the only other vendor I have found does not ship to Oz (why, I have to wonder?). Of course, in typical fashion this has now made me desperately keen to get my hands on one - so if any member can guide me to an inexpensive clear new d-b screen I'd be grateful! Thanks. If you're not, its going to be the worst damned thing you've ever ridden. Since our OP loves his, I would recommend interested parties compare their height, leg length, and seat position with the OP.
