norcal616
you cannot change the rubber grips on the OEM heated grips as the heat element is part of the rubber grip... 2012 wr250f - C-class 30+ age group 2015 fz-07- Hordpower Edition-80whp 2015 fj-09- Graves Exhaust w/Woolich tune by 2WDW @120whp
Supporting Member betoney Posted October 17, 2017 Supporting Member Share Posted October 17, 2017 As far as I know you cant replace the rubber part, you have to buy a whole new set of heated grips. ***2015 Candy Red FJ-09***
ilanr1
Hi , there are some clips on youtube that shows that you can cut and peel the rubber slowly and replace it... These clips on BMW motorcycles...
dtownmtb
Hi , i need to change the rubber on my original yamaha heated grips , when can i get only the rubber for the left and the right ?. Thanks I was concerned about this when I got my heated grips - about a year ago. Did some research into Grip Puppies and other ideas. Came upon Re-Grip. Gave it a try and have been really happy with the results. This stuff provides really good grip, in spite of the smooth surface. And it is relatively thin so doesn't make the grips too fat. Only downside is that it takes longer for the grips to get warm - since the heat has to work it's way through another layer. Wayyyyy cheaper than new grips and much easier than cut and peel. The Medium size was a perfect fit. https://re-grip.com/purchase/

This stuff provides really good grip.... ...and because they're not glue based, could probably be cut away and replaced over again.... unless there's something more magical that I'm not seeing. Great solution. Yup, no glue. It would be easy to slice and remove them.
