pgf
is the owner's manual (the one that comes with the bike) online? i did a quick search the other night, but didn't find it. (lots of companies make that kind of manual available on their website.)
Tracerforme
Hi pgf, nah, haven't found one yet. It would be handy to read up on things before picking up a new bike! Let us know when an English version is available for download from a YM global website! Cheers, Steve
FigJam-OhNine
I've looked everywhere. Can't find it. I like having a PDF copy on my phone in case of emergency, so it's kind of annoying that it isn't out there.
pgf
i found the 2014 fz-09/mt-09 manual here http://pdfziel.com/search/yamaha . i just wanted to skim it, and that satisfied my itch.
FigJam-OhNine
There is a prize to the first person to find the FJ-09 manual online. (The prize is bragging rights)
mcycleguy45
The link you provided for the owners manual does not seem to work. Am I missing something? Thanks!
pgf
you're right. it's not working for me now, either. that was definitely the link. here's a more direct link, in case it starts working again: http://pdfziel.com/doc/1142-yamaha-fz-09-mt09-owners-manual
pgf
that site is working again. using "download" results in something that looks and smells like a pdf, but which doesn't display. displaying directly via my chrome browser's pdf plugin does work. the whole site seems a little fishy, now that i'm looking at it again. use those links at your own risk. mcycleguy45
So I got the PDF site to work, although I was unable to actually download the Owners Manual. (I guess my 6 year old Macbook is getting old and fussy like me LOL). The Manual appeared to be for a FZ-09 (judging by the instrument cluster pics) but it was still nice to flip through it and of course the bikes are VERY similar mechanically. Tentative pick up date is April 4th. 35 days and counting!!!!! (depending on this unpredictable Canadian weather of course)
vern
I found the the manual on the Yamaha Canada site. See if this link works for you. https://www.yamaha-dealers.ca/ymca/web/public/ownersManuals Edit: I tried the the link myself and it doesn't seem to work for some reason. The link to the manuals is on the bottom of the page: http://www.yamaha-motor.ca/products/?group=MC

ronald1601
I took the liberty of reuploading the owners manual found on the yamaha CA website to mega, makes it easier for everyone (If this isn't allowed please notify me, will delete the link right away.) Premium Member wessie Posted March 17, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted March 17, 2015 Links to the owner's manual are fine as Yamaha circulates the PDF of these free of charge. I would recommend owners go to their official website and download a copy specific to their own country when they become available as there may be slight technical differences due to local regulations, units etc. I have just checked the UK website and Yamaha have not updated the user manual database yet, which won't surprise anyone. Please do not post links to the Service Manual which is a commercial publication as this could lead to Yamaha making a complaint against the owners of this forum and we could lose what is becoming a useful resource for FJ/Tracer owners. This signature is left blank as the poster writes enough pretentious bollocks as it is.
