17a
As the title says, I stripped a Allan Key Bolt while putting on my Givi Windscreen. Got the OEM Screen off no problem, it's just 4 x phillips screws that were not tight. The bracket behind the windscreen is held on by 4 x Allan Head bolts and they were real tight. Got the first three off but stripped the 4th. Any idea's for getting it out? I think a drill and Hammer is out of the question. Delicate plastics and Gage cluster right behind it. Worst case I will just return the Givi screen and re-install the OEM Screen.
koth442
Can you grab the bolt head with a pare of vice grips? Other option is get a set of screw extractors and drill a hole. Vice grips are easier though. '15 FJ09
nickest85
Tape off the screen around the screw and dermal a notch to use a flat head to screw it out.
BBB
Hammer a slightly bigger torx bit into the mashed allen head. It won’t take much force, then carefully extract. Red 2015 Tracer, UK spec (well, it was until I started messing with it...)
