basstodave
I had a service manager at a Yamaha dealer tell me his mechanic believes my clutch when not pulled in is noisier than other FJs and FZs he has worked on. They suggest opening up to take a look. Problem is they are too far away for me to leave for a week if repairs/warranty work needs to be done. Here's the thing though. I don't notice it so very much. Yeah it's noisy but not crunchy sounding or whining loudly, just a rumbling clatter sort of noise. The closer dealer I wouldn't go to for a light bulb. Thoughts about this or similar experience? norcal616
they are known to be clattery... probably the clutch basket is getting deeper grooves in it... its a simple job to replace clutch basket and put in new plates... its not considered warranty work... 2012 wr250f - C-class 30+ age group 2015 fz-07- Hordpower Edition-80whp 2015 fj-09- Graves Exhaust w/Woolich tune by 2WDW @120whp

nicksta43
I always thought mine was a little loud. Mentioned it when I had it in for recall work and they said it was normal.
