KeithQ
As I have seen on other threads, it does seem odd Yamaha used cotter pins on the right side but not on the left side of the driver foot pegs. Got the right one replaced easily enough and went to install my new (FJR style) left side peg and cannot seem to get it off. When I read 'drill out' the pin, does that just literally mean drilling upwards into the bottom end of the pin? I can't seem to get too far. Any thoughts, or am I just too cautious with the drill? Supporting Member Kenny A. Posted November 18, 2020 Supporting Member Share Posted November 18, 2020 Don''t drill it. Grind off the head of the pin and knock it out. Quite simple if you take it easy (with grinder,Dremel to finish it off )👍 2 2019 900 GT, 1969 Honda S90
whisperquiet
I drilled mine with a drill larger than the pin diameter.....took about 20 seconds. I believe the peg pin is 8mm, so a 3/8” drill will remove the crimped head. Edited November 18, 2020 by whisperquiet

Wintersdark
Dremel for me. No danger of damaging anything else, and it was very, very fast.
