Waldo Jeffers
Hi everyone! Has anyone just changed the springs in the front and back to match their respective weight and been satisfied with just doing that. I lean towards 195lbs without gear and plan on taking some road trips with gear loaded and don’t think the current spring rate is sufficient. I also don’t believe with my riding style that I need some high zoot suspension set up. I’ve never ridden with anything but stock suspension so maybe it’s good that I don’t know what I’m missing. Supporting Member piotrek Posted February 11, 2021 Supporting Member Share Posted February 11, 2021 (edited) I have done front and rear. I am about your weight. I have gone 0.9 kg/mm in the front and 650lb in the rear. You might have to go aftermarket if OE shock can't be properly upgraded (spring and maybe damping). Best to consult a suspension shop. Worth the investment IMO, and you don't really have to go with top shelf hardware to greatly improve the ride.
