  1. That’s a lot of words. I find the Bluetooth, navigation, etc to work fine. As far as reliability goes, I’ve put 12k miles on her since late February. No issues.
Power… I haven’t ridden with anyone with the big beemer so I can’t say. I wouldn’t be surprised if the bmw is faster though.
Indians, roadkings, glides, Ultra limited’s…I ride with regularly. The wing will eat their lunches and beg for seconds.

Anybody else ridden Lolo? Nez Perce Reservation. Not many left. LEWIS & Clark expedition. Poudre canyon ride? So many great rides, so little time. Snowy Rsnge?

I have. We will be back that way next summer.

  3. Part of my yearly ritual before I head out on a 6k+mile, 2week odyssey. I clean, lube, and adjust the chain. Out of more than a dozen cross country trips the only time I’ve ever adjusted the chain on a trip is the one time I didn’t check it before leaving. Stopped in an Orielley auto parts in the middle of nowhere Montana. They loaned me a wrench.

There were some early QC issues, but overall it's a really great bike, very well reviewed overall even by very non-HD-friendly outlets.

Definitely a very strong entry in the large ADV/Tourer category, easily a competitor for bikes like the GS.

Now, they need to use that engine and it’s like in other platforms.

  5. Couple of things I’ll add. The CarPlay is great.

Also I’ve heard complaints about the built in GPS. The way I use GPS it’s works fine. I make a route on the computer. Load it onto a thumb drive. Then load it onto the bike. No complaints.

I have a 2018 DCT Goldwing Tour. I couldn’t get used to the factory seat, so replaced it with a Corbin. It was an expensive upgrade, but worth it. For an 800 pound bike it sure does feel light. I’m still trying to get comfortable on my ‘21 Tracer 9 GT. Hoping the Corbin seat that I ordered will make a big difference. I repositioned the handle bars a bit with heli bars recently, but still not very comfortable on the Tracer. I like the idea of having sport tour bikes on the opposite ends of the weight spectrum.

I went with the Sargent seat(s) on my FJ. That’s about it as far as comfort stuff goes.
My Goldwing  seat seems to be getting better the more I ride it. Then agin maybe my behind is just getting numb from sitting in the saddle for hours on end.

You won't have an option to buy an ice vehicle in 15 years.  Probably have to have some sort of special exemption or license to even buy gas by then. I foresee some sort of cash for gas program in the near future when it comes to older cars to get people into battery.

I like the idea of an electric motorcycle, especially dirt bikes, but I'd need a 10-20 pack of batteries just to make it through a weekend. That's pretty cost prohibitive.

And that’s why I’ll fight it tooth and nail. Electric isn’t better for the environment. It isn’t cheaper. It isn’t more convenient. I don’t see the appeal. It’s almost as if it’s being forced on us. That’s something we maybe should question.
