    That’s a lot of words. I find the Bluetooth, navigation, etc to work fine. As far as reliability goes, I’ve put 12k miles on her since late February. No issues. 
    Power… I haven’t ridden with anyone with the big beemer so I can’t say. I wouldn’t be surprised if the bmw is faster though.
    Indians, roadkings, glides, Ultra limited’s…I ride with regularly. The wing will eat their lunches and beg for seconds.

    Part of my yearly ritual before I head out on a 6k+mile, 2week odyssey. I clean, lube, and adjust the chain. Out of more than a dozen cross country trips the only time I’ve ever adjusted the chain on a trip is the one time I didn’t check it before leaving. Stopped in an Orielley auto parts in the middle of nowhere Montana. They loaned me a wrench.

    Now, they need to use that engine and it’s like in other platforms.

    Couple of things I’ll add. The CarPlay is great.

    Also I’ve heard complaints about the built in GPS. The way I use GPS it’s works fine. I make a route on the computer. Load it onto a thumb drive. Then load it onto the bike. No complaints.

    My Goldwing  seat seems to be getting better the more I ride it. Then agin maybe my behind is just getting numb from sitting in the saddle for hours on end.

    Like I promised here's my review of my new Goldwing. After 1.5 months and 5500 miles the short and sweet answer... it's a fine motorcycle. When I say fine, I mean like a fine wine or a fine watch. Smooth and comfortable for hours on end. It's by far the nicest vehicle I've ever owned.

    The Goldwing didn't replace my 2015 FJ. It's an addition to my garage. It's a much more comfortable machine for most of the type of riding I do. Long distance and hours. I consider 300 miles to be a short day and usually do between 400 and 600 mile days when time permits. One of my goals is to tide through every county in the USA. So far I've ridden through 38% of them. It also works better for two up riding. Something the wife has decided she wants to do more of. 

    Pros:

    The electric adjustable windshield is fantastic. 

    Real cruise control; how did I go so long without it

    Power, plenty of it. Especially in sport mode. She will easily out accelerate most cages on the road and doesn't struggle. Even with a passenger and full luggage.

    Handling, for a big girl... she hustles. I experienced bliss early Wednesday. Rode the entire Skyline drive in western Virginia with virtually no traffic and no government revenue generators. Honda has made the Goldwing more of a sport-touring bike.

    Fuel mileage, mid 40's. Not far off my FJ.

    DCT, It took some getting used to. Once you do it's fun to ride and what you want at in heavy traffic.

    The brakes are some of the best I've experienced on a bike. Good feel and powerful.

    Cons:

    Maintenance is harder and will be more expensive. Much more stuff to remove even doing simple things. An oil change has 3 drain plugs, a cover, two filters and 5 quarts of oil. Honda recommends it be changed every 8K miles. An air filter change requires removing most of the body work. Tires are more expensive, and no, I wont be "darksiding" her.

    The seat, for me it isn't as bad as many say but it could be better. I probably wont change it.

    She's a big girl. There's no spinning her around on the side stand like my beloved FJ. That makes it harder to maneuver in a crowded garage. The bike is well balanced though and the weight is down low. She's easier to move around than the big HD's I've ridden.

    Luggage capacity, there's not as much as you think. I have plenty of room for my solo trips but the wife may have to rough it when we travel together. By that I mean I'll have to do without. That's cool though the only thing I change every day on the road is my drawers. Everything else gets changed when it can stand up on its own.

    Overall I'm extremely pleased with Francine; that's her name. Right now, she fits my needs as good as can be.

    I still put the miles on Gertrude (my FJ). She's  still my choice for more spirited riding but the Goldwing will be my first choice when traveling across our great country.

    I like the idea of an electric motorcycle, especially dirt bikes, but I'd need a 10-20 pack of batteries just to make it through a weekend. That's pretty cost prohibitive.

    And that’s why I’ll fight it tooth and nail. Electric isn’t better for the environment. It isn’t cheaper. It isn’t more convenient. I don’t see the appeal. It’s almost as if it’s being forced on us. That’s something we maybe should question.
